2013–14 Memphis Grizzlies Season
The 2013–14 Memphis Grizzlies season was the 19th season of the franchise in the NBA and their 13th in Memphis. It was their first season under new head coach Dave Joerger. In the playoffs, the Grizzlies faced the Oklahoma City Thunder, the team they defeated in last season's Semifinals in five games, in the First Round and lost in seven games. Dave Joerger
David Joerger ( [YAY-ger]) (born February 21, 1974) is an American professional basketball coach who serves as an assistant coach for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was the head coach of the Dakota Wizards from 2000 to 2004 and in 2006–2007 in the International Basketball Association, Continental Basketball Association, and the NBA Development League, winning championships in 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2007. He also coached the Sioux Falls Skyforce from 2004 to 2006, winning a championship in 2005. In the NBA, Joerger served as head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies from 2013 to 2016, and Sacramento Kings from 2016 to 2019. Jamaal Franklin
Jamaal Eric Franklin (born July 21, 1991) is an American professional basketball player, who most recently played for the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He was selected with the 41st overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft by the Memphis Grizzlies. He played college basketball for San Diego State, where he was the Mountain West Conference Player of the Year as well as an All-American in his junior season. High school career Franklin played four years at Serrano High School in Phelan, California, then played a prep season at Westwind Prep in Phoenix, Arizona. Scottrade Center
The Enterprise Center is an 18,096-seat arena located in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, United States. Its primary tenant is the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League, but it is also used for other functions, such as NCAA basketball, NCAA hockey, concerts, professional wrestling and more. Nick Calathes
Nicholas William Calathes (Greek: Νικόλαος Γουίλιαμ "Νικ" Καλάθης, born February 7, 1989) is a Greek-American professional basketball player for Fenerbahçe Beko of the Turkish Basketball Super League (BSL) and the EuroLeague. He played college basketball for the Florida Gators. An All-EuroLeague First Team selection in 2018 and 2019, Calathes has also played in the NBA, the Greek Basket League and the VTB United League. Edward Adam Davis (born June 5, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for Mets de Guaynabo of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). He played high school basketball at Benedictine High School in Richmond, Virginia. He is the son of former NBA player Terry Davis. He was selected with the 13th overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft by the Toronto Raptors. High school career Davis spent his first two years of high school playing basketball at Hanover High School in Mechanicsville, Virginia before transferring to Benedictine High School in Richmond, Virginia. Jon Leuer (born May 14, 1989) is an American former professional basketball player. He was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the 40th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft. During his National Basketball Association (NBA) career, he also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Memphis Grizzlies, Phoenix Suns and Detroit Pistons. Jerryd Andrew Bayless (born August 20, 1988) is an American former professional basketball player. He played a year of college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats after playing high school basketball at St. Mary's High School in Phoenix. He was selected 11th overall in the 2008 NBA draft by the Indiana Pacers and was then traded to the Portland Trail Blazers. The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. The league started with eight teams until NBA commissioner David Stern announced a plan to expand the NBA D-League to 15 teams and develop it into a true minor league farm system, with each NBA D-League team affiliated with one or more NBA teams in March 2005. Shawn Christopher Respert (born February 6, 1972) is an American professional basketball coach and former player. He attended Bishop Borgess High School, and he came to prominence while playing college basketball at Michigan State. He played professionally in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for four seasons from 1995 to 1999. College career Respert was a standout at Michigan State. Duane Ticknor He is a former assistant coach for the Memphis Grizzlies and a former NBA D-League head coach for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants and Sioux Falls Skyforce and Sacramento Kings. Biography Ticknor is a native of Vermillion, South Dakota where he played basketball at Vermillion High School. Bob Thornton
Robert George Thornton (born July 10, 1962) is an American basketball coach and former player who played nine seasons in the NBA. He last served as the lead assistant coach for the Perth Wildcats in the Australian NBL. Thornton played college basketball at University of California, Irvine and Saddleback Community College, and was selected by the New York Knicks with the 87th pick of the 1984 NBA draft. Thornton played for five NBA teams (New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Utah Jazz and Washington Wizards) and averaged 3.0 points and 2.5 rebounds in 283 total games.
