2013–14 Kansas Jayhawks Men's Basketball Team
The 2013–14 Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball team represented the University of Kansas in the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season, which was the Jayhawks' 116th basketball season. The Jayhawks played their home games at Allen Fieldhouse as a member of the Big 12 Conference. They finished the season 25–10, 14–4 in Big 12 play to win the Big 12 regular season championship. They advanced to the semifinals of the Big 12 tournament where they lost to Iowa State. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they defeated Eastern Kentucky in the round of 64 before losing in the round of 32 to Stanford. On February 24, 2014, the Jayhawks made history in the "modern era of basketball" by clinching their 10th consecutive Big 12 regular season championship. Bill Self
Billy Eugene Self Jr. (born December 27, 1962) is an American basketball coach. He is the head men's basketball coach at the University of Kansas, a position he has held since 2003. During his 19 seasons as head coach, he has led the Jayhawks to 16 Big 12 regular season championships, including an NCAA record 14 consecutive Big 12 regular season championships, some of which were shared (2005–2018). He has also led the Jayhawks to four NCAA Final Four appearances (2008, 2012, 2018, 2022), the 2008 NCAA championship and 2022 NCAA championship. Self was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2017. At the end of the 2021–22 season, Self had the 18th most wins among Division I coaches in NCAA history and 4th among active head coaches. Andrew Wiggins
Andrew Christian Wiggins (born February 23, 1995) is a Canadian professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected with the first overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers after one year of college basketball with the Kansas Jayhawks. Wiggins grew up in Canada before attending his last two years of high school in the United States, where he was named a McDonald's All-American. 2013 McDonald's All-American Boys Game
The 2013 McDonald's All-American Boys Game is an All-star basketball game that was played on April 3, 2013 at the United Center in Chicago, home of the Chicago Bulls. It is the 36th annual McDonald's All-American Game for high school boys. The game's rosters featured the best and most highly recruited blue chip boys high school basketball players graduating in 2013. Chicago, which became the first city to host the game in back-to-back years in 2012, will continue to host the game annually at least until 2015. The Iowa State Cyclones men's basketball team represents Iowa State University (ISU) and competes in the Big 12 Conference of NCAA Division I. The Cyclones play their home games at Hilton Coliseum on Iowa State's campus. History Early years (1908–1980) From 1907 to 1928, the Cyclones played in the Missouri Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Association, managing a few winning records in-conference but no championships. Kenneth Lee "Doc" Sadler (born June 12, 1960) is an American college basketball coach. He was the head men's basketball coach at the University of Southern Mississippi (Southern Miss), a position he held from 2014 through the 2018-19 season. The SMU Mustangs men's basketball team represents Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas and currently competes in the American Athletic Conference of NCAA Division I college basketball. The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles men's basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida, United States. The school's team currently competes in the ASUN Conference. In 2002, Florida Gulf Coast became an independent member of NCAA Division II. Joe Dooley (basketball)
Joseph Gerard Dooley III (born January 29, 1965) is the former head men's basketball coach of the East Carolina University Pirates, having previously served as head coach from 1995 to 1999 and 2018-2022. Dooley was an assistant on the Kansas Jayhawks 2007–08 NCAA national championship team. and previously served as head coach at Florida Gulf Coast University. Dooley is a 1988 graduate of George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he completed his bachelor's degree in speech communications. The Memphis Tigers men's basketball team represents the University of Memphis in NCAA Division I men's college basketball. The Tigers have competed in the American Athletic Conference since 2013. As of 2020, the Tigers had the 26th highest winning percentage in NCAA history. While the Tigers have an on-campus arena, Elma Roane Fieldhouse (which is still the primary home for Tigers women's basketball), the team has played home games off campus since the mid-1960s.
