2013–14 Clarkson Golden Knights Women's Ice Hockey Season
The Clarkson Golden Knights women's ice hockey program represented Clarkson University during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. One of the most unusual features of the regular season occurred on December 14, 2013, when the Golden Knights competed in an outdoor game against the RIT Tigers at Frontier Field in Rochester, New York. The Golden Knights prevailed by a 6–2 tally. The Golden Knights finished the regular season by winning the ECAC Hockey regular season championship, the team's first title of any kind. Despite losing the conference tournament in the championship game, the Golden Knights still earned an NCAA tournament bid. In the NCAA tournament, the Golden Knights advanced to the national championship game, where they won their first-ever national championship with a 5–4 triumph over the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the championship game. Lynah Rink
Lynah Rink (pronounced LIE-nuh) is a 4,267-seat hockey arena at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, that opened in 1957. Named after James Lynah, Class of 1905, who was the director of Cornell athletics from 1935 to 1943, it is home to the Big Red men's and women's ice hockey teams. Meehan Auditorium
The George V. Meehan Auditorium is a 3,059-seat hockey arena, in Providence, Rhode Island. The arena opened in 1961 and was dedicated on January 6, 1962. It is named for George V. Meehan, the benefactor of the arena, which he hoped would "service and promote" the Brown Bears ice hockey program, which now belongs to the Ivy and ECAC Hockey leagues. It is recognizable for its large white domed roof, and is located on the highest corner (Hope Street and Lloyd Avenue) of Brown's main athletic complex on College Hill in Providence. David S. Ingalls Rink is a hockey rink in New Haven, Connecticut, designed by architect Eero Saarinen and built between 1953 and 1958 for Yale University. Innovative Field (originally known as Frontier Field) is a baseball stadium located at One Morrie Silver Way in downtown Rochester, New York. It has been the home of the Rochester Red Wings of the International League since 1997. Hobey Baker Memorial Rink is a 2,092-seat hockey arena in Princeton, New Jersey. It is home to the Princeton University Tigers men's and women's ice hockey teams as well as the venue for club and intramural hockey teams, intramural broomball, figure skating and recreational skating.
