2013–14 Blackburn Rovers F.C. Season
The 2013–14 season was Blackburn Rovers' 126th season as a professional football club and its second playing in the Football League Championship since the club's relegation during the 2011–12 Barclays Premier League season. Caretaker manager for the final few games of the previous season, Gary Bowyer, was given the job permanently. Grzegorz Sandomierski, Cameron Stewart, David Bentley, David Jones, Todd Kane and Colin Kazim-Richards, all of which were on loan at Rovers during the 12–13 season did not secure permanent contracts, though Todd Kane returned to Rovers for a third loan spell. Blackburn () is an industrial town and the administrative centre of the Blackburn with Darwen borough in Lancashire, England. The town is north of the West Pennine Moors on the southern edge of the Ribble Valley, east of Preston and north-northwest of Manchester. David Bentley
David Michael Bentley (born 27 August 1984) is an English former professional footballer who played primarily as a winger, but also played as a central midfielder or as a second striker. Bentley started his career with Arsenal in the Premier League, and despite being earmarked as one for the future, saw his playing opportunities limited by a strong senior squad. He spent two seasons on loan with Norwich City and Blackburn Rovers, and sealed a permanent transfer to Rovers in January 2006. Bentley produced strong performances for his new club, and soon featured regularly for the England under-21 team. He made his senior international debut against Israel in September 2007. Alan Christopher Judge (born 11 November 1988) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Colchester United and the Republic of Ireland national team. Judge began his career at Blackburn Rovers and returned to the club in 2013 after a two-and-a-half season spell with Notts County. Christopher David Taylor (born 20 December 1986) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is currently Under 18s coach at FC United of Manchester. Career Oldham Athletic Taylor, who is a lifelong Oldham fan, signed a professional contract with his hometown club, where a scout, Colin Shaw, scouted him and where he had been a trainee, on 1 August 2005. In professional association football, a free transfer, also known as a Bosman transfer, involves a professional association football club releasing a player when the player's contract has expired or made available just before the end of the contract. David Dunn
David John Ian Dunn (born 27 December 1979) is an English former professional football player and manager; he is now a coach at club Port Vale. Dunn played as an attacking midfielder and spent the majority of his playing career representing Blackburn Rovers. His first stint began as a youth player in 1997 and he signed professional terms a year later. During this time, Dunn helped the club to win promotion out of the First Division in 2000–01, as well as lift the League Cup the following season.
