2013–14 Austrian Football Bundesliga
The 2013–14 Austrian Football Bundesliga was the 102nd season of top-tier football in Austria. Licensing procedures On 30 April 2013, the Bundesliga awarded the licenses for the 2013–14 championship. Only 18 out of the 24 clubs that had applied for a license were granted. The Bundesliga teams FC Admira Wacker Mödling and FC Wacker Innsbruck, the First League clubs First Vienna FC and TSV Hartberg, as well as the regional league teams LASK Linz and SV Austria Salzburg were denied the license. First league team SKN St. Pölten received the license through financial conditions. FC Lustenau 07, who had to forcibly withdraw from the First League due to multiple violations of the licensing procedure, did not apply for the license. All six clubs, which were denied the license in the first place, filed a complaint with the protest committee of the Bundesliga. The Austrian Football Bundesliga (german: Österreichische Fußball-Bundesliga, italic=no , "Austrian Football Federal League"), also known as Admiral Bundesliga for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of the Austrian football league system. The competition decides the Austrian national football champions, as well the country's entrants for the various European cups run by UEFA. Since Austria stayed in sixteenth place in the UEFA association coefficient rankings at the end of the 2015–16 season, the league gained its first spot for the UEFA Champions League for the 2016-2017 season. TSV Hartberg, known as TSV Egger Glass Hartberg for sponsorship purposes, is an Austrian association football club based in Hartberg, founded in 1946, which is currently playing in the Austrian Bundesliga. History The club was founded on 29 April 1946. They finished in 7th position in the 2007–2008 season while playing in the Third level Regionalliga. On the last day of the 2008–09 season, TSV Hartberg finished in first position of the Austrian Regionalliga East (third division). In European football, the UEFA coefficients are statistics based in weighted arithmetic means used for ranking and seeding teams in club and international competitions. SV Mattersburg was an Austrian association football club from Mattersburg, Burgenland. History The club was formed in 1922 and played its home games at the 17,100 capacity Pappelstadion.
