The 2013 season is the 61st season of competitive football in Singapore. The season began on 20 February 2013 for the S.League, 1 March 2013 for the Prime League and 27 April 2013 for the NFL First, Second and Third Divisions. 2013 Singapore Cup
The 2013 Singapore Cup was the 16th season of Singapore's annual premier club football tournament organised by Football Association of Singapore. Due to sponsorship reasons, the Singapore Cup is also known as the RHB Singapore Cup. Warriors FC, then known as Singapore Armed Forces FC, were the defending champions. The final was played at Jalan Besar Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. Home United, who had finished as quarter-finalists last year, won by defeating S.League rival Tanjong Pagar United 4–1. This was Home's sixth Singapore Cup title, previously winning it in 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005, and 2011. Together with 2013 S.League champions Tampines Rovers, Home United fills the 2014 AFC Cup spot. Bernd Stange
Bernd Walter Stange (born 14 March 1948) is a German football manager who last managed the Syria national team. During his playing career, he played for Chemie Gnaschwitz, Vorwärts Bautzen, and HSG DHfK Leipzig as a defender. Playing career Born in Gnaschwitz, Doberschau-Gaußig, a Sorbian town of Saxony, Stange started playing at an early age and was called into the East German youth team. He continued to play for Chemie Gnaschwitz in the lower divisions until 1965 followed by a year at Vorwärts Bautzen. In 1966 he joined HSG DHfK Leipzig, playing until retiring in 1970, while also studying at the DHfK Leipzig ( de) to become a sports teacher. The Belarus national football team ( be, Зборная Беларусі па футболе, Zbornaja Biełarusi pa futbole; russian: Сборная Беларуси по футболу, Sbornaya Belarusi po futbolu) represents Belarus in international football and is controlled by the Football Federation of Belarus, the governing body for football in Belarus. Established in 1892 as the Singapore Football Association (SFA), it is the oldest football association in all of Asia. Varadaraju Sundramoorthy ( ta, வரதராஜு சுந்தரமூர்த்தி; born 6 October 1965) is a former Singaporean international footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s, is widely touted as one of the country's most skilful and talented footballers ever. He is the current technical director of the Laos national football team. He coached the LionsXII, a Singapore-based team playing in the Malaysia Super League, and held a dual appointment as the head coach of the Under-23 team from 2011 to 2013 when he announced his plans to sign with the Malaysian Premier League team, Negeri Sembilan. 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup
The 2012 AFF Championship, sponsored by Suzuki and officially known as the 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup, was the 9th edition of the AFF Championship, the football championship of Southeast Asia. It was co-hosted for group stage by Malaysia and Thailand and took place from 24 November to 22 December 2012. Malaysia were defending champions, but they were eliminated by Thailand in the semi-finals Singapore became the first side to win the AFF Championship four times, beating Thailand 3–2 on aggregate in the finals. Singapore coach Radojko Avramović also became the most successful coach in tournament history, adding to his wins in 2004 and 2007. Radojko Avramović
Radojko "Raddy" Avramović ( sr-Cyrl, Радојко Аврамовић; born 29 November 1949) is a Serbian retired football coach who played as a goalkeeper. Avramović most notably played for Croatian club Rijeka and English club Notts County as well as internationally for Yugoslavia. During his managerial career, Avramović was most notably a long-term manager of Singapore national team, having also briefly managed Myanmar and Kuwait national teams. Avramović discontinued his law studies two years into university to become a footballer. He began his playing career with FK Borac Čačak in the Yugoslav Second League in 1969. He signed for Yugoslav First League club HNK Rijeka in 1974. As a 1977–78 Yugoslav Cup winner with Rijeka, he played in the 1978–79 Cup Winners' Cup. Singapore FA Cup
The Singapore FA Cup, (also known as the Singapore Pools FA Cup for sponsorship reasons), is an annual football competition in Singapore. Initially held for clubs from the S.League from 1996-1998, the Football Association of Singapore decided to change format of the cup to allow only teams from National Football League to take part in the knock out competition from 1999, so that the S.League clubs can focus on Singapore Cup, competition created in 1998. After the Singapore Cup and earlier League Cup, Singapore FA Cup is the next major cup competition in Singapore. For a number of years, the FA Cup was solely restricted to NFL clubs. In 2006, S.League clubs were once again allowed in the competition, but were only permitted to field their developmental Prime League teams. Brunei DPMM
Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota Football Club (His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Brunei Football Club in English, commonly known as DPMM FC) is a professional football club based in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. The club played in the Brunei Premier League in the early 2000s, winning the league title in 2002 and 2004. The club then decided to play in Malaysia, and joined the Malaysian Premier League as a foreign-based team in for the 2005–06 season.
