As part of the 2010–2014 NCAA conference realignment, the Western Athletic Conference discontinued football and the Big East Conference went through a massive change in membership that saw the conference discontinue football and many of the original members rebrand as the American Athletic Conference, which began play in 2013. Michigan Stadium
Michigan Stadium, nicknamed "The Big House," is the football stadium for the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It is the largest stadium in the United States and the Western Hemisphere, the third largest stadium in the world, and the 34th largest sports venue in the world. Its official capacity is 107,601, but has hosted crowds in excess of 115,000. Michigan Stadium was built in 1927 at a cost of $950,000 (equivalent to $ in ) and had an original capacity of 72,000. 2013 Louisiana–Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns Football Team
The 2013 Louisiana–Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns football program represented the University of Louisiana at Lafayette as a member of the Sun Belt Conference during in the 2013 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by third-year head coach Mark Hudspeth and played their home games at Cajun Field. They finished the season 9–4 overall and 5–2 in Sun Belt play to claim a share of the conference title with Arkansas State. Louisiana–Lafayette was invited to the New Orleans Bowl for the third consecutive year, where they defeated Tulane. However, in 2015 Louisiana–Lafayette vacated eight wins including their New Orleans Bowl victory and Sun Belt Conference co-championship due to alleged major NCAA violations. 2013 Arkansas State Red Wolves Football Team
The 2013 Arkansas State Red Wolves football team represented Arkansas State University in the 2013 NCAA Division I FBS football season. For the third consecutive season, the Red Wolves were led by a first-year head coach, with Bryan Harsin, previously offensive coordinator at Texas, taking over from Gus Malzahn, who left to become head coach at Auburn. Shortly after the end of the regular season, Harsin would himself leave Arkansas State, moving to Boise State, his alma mater and a program where he had served as an assistant from 2001 to 2010, after Chris Petersen left for Washington. Harsin did not coach Arkansas State in the GoDaddy Bowl; Arkansas State named defensive coordinator John Thompson as interim head coach for the bowl game. 2013 Baylor Bears Football Team
The 2013 Baylor Bears football team represented Baylor University in the 2013 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Bears, coached by Art Briles, were playing their 115th football season; this year was the team's 64th and final season at Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco, Texas. The Bears were members of the Big 12 Conference. The conference slate began with a home game against the West Virginia Mountaineers, and concluded at home against the Texas Longhorns. The 2013 season was arguably the best in Baylor's history. After being ranked as high as third in the nation, the Bears went on to a school-record 11 wins and their first Big 12 title—their first outright conference title since winning their last outright Southwest Conference title in 1980. The 2013 UCF Knights football team represented the University of Central Florida in the 2013 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Knights were members of the American Athletic Conference (The American), and played their home games at Bright House Networks Stadium on UCF's main campus in Orlando, Florida. The Knights were led by head coach George O'Leary, who was in his tenth season with the team. The 2013 season marked UCF's first as a member of the American Athletic Conference. The Knights were previously members of C-USA from 2005 to 2012, the MAC from 2002 to 2004, and were an independent from 1996 to 2001. UCF was originally barred from postseason play for the 2012 season due to recruiting violations in both football and basketball under previous athletic director Keith Tribble. Ricardo Louis (born March 23, 1994) is an American football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. He played college football at Auburn and was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. High school and college career Louis played football at Miami Beach Senior High School, where he played at quarterback, running back, wide receiver, tight end, linebacker, and safety. Excellent at all positions, his best performances came at a running back and receiver. In his senior year, he had 14 offensive touchdowns and 60 defensive tackles. ESPN ranked him the 21st best high school player in the nation in 2012. The Prayer at Jordan-Hare was a game-winning Hail Mary pass thrown during a college football game between the Auburn Tigers and Georgia Bulldogs, played on November 16, 2013, at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn in the 117th installment of the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry. The game is also notable for being 1 of only 3 Auburn wins against Georgia in the last 18 years. Down 38–37 against the No. 25-ranked Bulldogs with 36 seconds remaining in the game, the No. 7-ranked Tigers faced 4th down and 18 yards to go when junior quarterback Nick Marshall threw a 73-yard touchdown pass to sophomore wide receiver Ricardo Louis. The pass was accidentally tipped by Georgia's sophomore safety Josh Harvey-Clemons and freshman Tray Matthews as each tried to catch the ball. The Kick Six (also known as Kick Bama Kick) was the final play of the 78th Iron Bowl college football game played on November 30, 2013 at Jordan–Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama. The game featured the No. 1-ranked and two-time defending national champion Alabama Crimson Tide (11–0, 7–0 in the SEC) as a 10-point favorite over the No. 4-ranked Auburn Tigers (10–1, 6–1 in the SEC). The game had significant postseason implications, with both teams ranked in the top 5 and a berth in the SEC Championship Game and, potentially, the National Championship game at stake. After falling behind in the 2nd quarter and then again in the 4th, Auburn rallied late to tie the game at 28–28 with 32 seconds remaining. Jordan–Hare Stadium
Jordan–Hare Stadium (properly pronounced n central Alabama dialectas ) is an American football stadium in Auburn, Alabama on the campus Auburn University. It primarily serves as the home venue of the Auburn Tigers football team. The stadium is named for Ralph "Shug" Jordan, who owns the most wins in school history, and Cliff Hare, a member of Auburn's first football team as well as Dean of the Auburn University School of Chemistry and President of the Southern Conference. On November 19, 2005, the playing field at the stadium was named in honor of former Auburn coach and athletic director Pat Dye. The venue is now known as Pat Dye Field at Jordan–Hare Stadium.
