2013 Winnipeg Blue Bombers Season
The 2013 Winnipeg Blue Bombers season was the 56th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 81st overall. The Blue Bombers finished in 4th place in the East Division with a 3–15 record and missed the playoffs for the second straight year. This was the first season for the Blue Bombers at their new stadium, Investors Group Field. Originally, They were supposed to start playing there in 2012, but delays in construction pushed the opening date to 2013. This was the last season for the Blue Bombers as a member of the East Division, as the Ottawa Redblacks are to take the field in 2014. The Blue Bombers will move back to the West Division after having played in the East Division since the suspension of the Ottawa Renegades in 2006. Canadian Football League East Division
The East Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League, its counterpart being the West Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the East Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. The four teams in the division are the Toronto Argonauts, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Montreal Alouettes, and Ottawa Redblacks. Several now-defunct teams have also played in the East Division including two teams from the United States and a large number of teams that have played in Hamilton, Montreal, and Ottawa prior to the current teams from those cities. Placekicker, or simply kicker (PK or K), is the player in gridiron football who is responsible for the kicking duties of field goals and extra points. In many cases, the placekicker also serves as the team's kickoff specialist or punter. Specialized role The kicker initially was not a specialized role. The Florida Gators football program represents the University of Florida (UF) in American college football. Florida competes in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The Saint Mary's Huskies are the men's and women's athletic teams that represent Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Their primary home turf is Huskies Stadium located in the centre of the University's campus. In September 2007, Saint Mary's announced the plans to build the new Homburg Centre for Health & Wellness that will comprise the current gymnasium (The Tower), the new Dauphinee Arena, and a new building to connect the two. The centre is to be named after Richard Homburg, who provided a $5 million gift to the project, the largest gift the university had received in its 205-year history.
