2013 Turkish Cup Final
The 2013 Turkish Cup Final ( tr, Türkiye Kupası Finali) was the 51st final of the Turkish Cup. The final was contested between Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor. Match was played on 22 May 2013, at 20:45 local time. The venue chosen for the match was Ankara 19 Mayıs Stadium, a neutral ground for both clubs. Fenerbahçe were the winners of the match, and eventual winners of the 2012–13 Turkish Cup. 2012–13 Turkish Cup
The 2012–13 Turkish Cup ( tr, Türkiye Kupası) was the 51st season of the Turkish Cup. Ziraat Bankası is the sponsor of the tournament, thus the sponsored name is Ziraat Turkish Cup. The winners earned a berth in the play-off round of the 2013–14 UEFA Europa League. Fenerbahçe are the defending champions. The winners also qualified for the 2013 Turkish Super Cup. In a bet to widen the audience and turn the cup into a true national cup, a format change has been made for this season. The number of participating teams increased from 57 to 156, allowing teams from Turkish Regional Amateur League to have a shot at the cup. The knockout qualifying format of the 2011–2012 season have been revised. Mehmet Topal
Mehmet Topal (born 3 March 1986) is a Turkish former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. He was nicknamed ''Örümcek'' (Spider), due to his ability to use his long legs to win loose balls or cut passes. He spent most of his career with Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, totalling five major trophies with those clubs. He also had a two-year spell in La Liga with Valencia. Aykut Kocaman
Aykut Kocaman (, born 5 April 1965) is a former Turkish footballer, who played as a striker. He is the former manager of İstanbul Başakşehir. Before he made his debut 1980 with the amateur club Kabataş Altınmızrak in Istanbul, Kocaman performed gymnastics at the club Eczacıbaşı, winning 40 medals and reaching second place at the national level. 1984, he moved to Sakaryaspor in Adapazarı, Sakarya and turned professional. In 1988, Kocaman signed a contract with Fenerbahçe, where he played and contributed much to the success of his club until he was transferred to Istanbulspor in 1996. He is one of only five players who have scored 200 goals in Süper Lig history. Beykan Şimşek (born 1 January 1995) is a Turkish footballer who plays for Kocaelispor. Career Beykan made his debut with Fenerbahçe in the Turkish Cup on 23 January 2013 against Bursaspor.
