2013 Taguig Local Elections
Local elections were held in Taguig on May 13, 2013, within the Philippine general election. The vote was for the elective local posts in the city: the mayor, vice mayor, two District representatives, and councilors, eight in each of the city's two legislative districts. Mayoral and vice mayoral election Incumbent Lani Cayetano is now on her first term as the mayor of Taguig. As prescribed by the Local Government Code, she is still eligible to run for the same office. On the other hand, another incumbent George Elias is now on his last term as the vice mayor of the city. Ineligible for reelection, Elias will no longer run for any position. The incumbent mayor Lani Cayetano is running again for mayoralty office under the Nacionalista Party (NP) with his running mate Ricardo Cruz, Jr. Cayetano, a former congresswoman of the legislative district of Pateros-Taguig, was said to be the first youngest female official to hold office while Cruz is the Barangay Chairman of Lower Bicutan. ...

Maria Laarni "Lani" Lopez Cayetano (born Maria Laarni Clariño Lopez; December 11, 1981) is a Filipina politician who is the current Mayor of Taguig from 2010 to 2019 and again since 2022. She previously served as the House of Representatives of the Philippines, Representative of the Taguig–Pateros's 1st congressional district, 1st district of Taguig-Pateros from 2007 to 2010 and again, this time of the Taguig–Pateros's 2nd congressional district, 2nd district, from 2019 to 2022. Arnel Mendiola Cerafica is a Filipino politician. He last served as a member of Philippine House of Representatives representing Pateros–Taguig from 2010 to 2019. Local elections were held in the Philippines on May 13, 2013, the same day and on the same ballot as national elections. Elected were governors, mayors and council members of Philippine provinces, Philippine cities and Philippine municipalities. Separate elections for barangay officials were held on October. Positions to be elected are mayors, vice mayors, and councilors, and if applicable, governors, vice governors and provincial board members. Lino Edgardo Schramm Cayetano (born January 4, 1978) is a Filipino politician and television director who served as the Mayor of Taguig from 2019 to 2022. Pateros, officially the Municipality of Pateros ( tgl, Bayan ng Pateros), is the lone municipality of Metro Manila, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 63,643 people. This municipality is famous for its duck-raising industry and especially for producing '' balut'', a Filipino delicacy, which is a boiled, fertilised duck egg. Pateros is also known for the production of red salty eggs and "''inutak''", a local rice cake.
