2013 Swedish Open
The 2013 Swedish Open was a tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts as part of the ATP World Tour 250 Series of the 2013 ATP World Tour and as part of the International Series on the 2013 WTA Tour. It took place in Båstad, Sweden, from July 6 through July 14, 2013 for the Men's tournament and from July 13 through July 21, 2013 for the Women's tournament. It was also known as the 2013 SkiStar Swedish Open for the Men's and the 2013 Collector Swedish Open for the Women's for sponsorship reasons. It was the 66th edition for the Men's and the 5th edition for the Women's. Clay Court
A clay court is one of the types of tennis court on which the sport of tennis, originally known as "lawn tennis", is played. Clay courts are made of crushed stone, brick, shale, or other unbound mineral aggregate depending on the tournament. The French Open uses clay courts, the only Grand Slam tournament to do so. Clay courts are more common in Continental Europe and Latin America than in North America, Asia-Pacific or Britain. Two main types exist: red clay, the more common variety, and green clay, also known as "rubico", which is a harder surface. Although less expensive to construct than other types of tennis courts, the maintenance costs of clay are high as the surface must be rolled to preserve flatness. Viktor Troicki ( sr-Cyrl, Виктор Троицки, ; born 10 February 1986) is a Serbian former professional tennis player. He won his first ATP singles title at the 2010 Kremlin Cup, and his second and third ATP singles titles at the 2015 and 2016 Apia International Sydney.
