Chad Holbrook
Chad Holbrook (born January 14, 1971) is an American baseball coach, who is the current head baseball coach of the College of Charleston Cougars. Prior to becoming head coach for the Cougars, Holbrook was head coach at the University of South Carolina, and an assistant for both the University of North Carolina and the University of South Carolina. Playing career Holbrook attended the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill from 1990 to 1993, receiving second-team All-ACC honors as a senior. He graduated in 1994 with a degree in physical education. In 1992, he played collegiate summer baseball for the Chatham A's of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Coaching career North Carolina At the conclusion of his playing career, Holbrook served as an undergraduate assistant coach for the 1994 season before being promoted to Assistant Coach in 1995 and Associate head coach in 2007. Alex Box Stadium, pronounced Alec Box Stadium, was a baseball stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States. It was the home field of the LSU Tigers baseball team. The stadium was located across the street from Tiger Stadium, which is visible in right field. It was most notable for ''The Intimidator'', a large billboard behind the right-field fence featuring the five years in which LSU won the College World Series. History LSU constructed the ballpark at a cost of $50,000 in 1938. The New York Giants held spring training at the ballpark in 1938 and 1939. 2013 LSU Tigers Baseball Team
The 2013 LSU Tigers baseball team represents Louisiana State University in the NCAA Division I baseball season of 2013. The Tigers played their home games in the new Alex Box Stadium, which opened in 2009. On May 17, 2013, the playing field at Alex Box Stadium was designated Skip Bertman Field, in honor of the LSU coach with the most wins in the program's history. At the end of the game against Ole Miss, the program celebrated the best regular season record in its history with 48 wins. The team is coached by Paul Mainieri who is in his seventh season at LSU. In the 2012 season, the Tigers failed to reach the College World Series; however, the Tigers did win the regular season and post season SEC championship. The 2013 Florida Gators baseball team represented the University of Florida in the sport of baseball during the 2013 college baseball season. The Gators competed in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They played their home games at Alfred A. McKethan Stadium, on the university's Gainesville, Florida campus. The team was coached by Kevin O'Sullivan, who was in his sixth season at Florida. Lindsey Nelson Stadium is a baseball stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee. It is the home field of the University of Tennessee Volunteers college baseball team. The stadium opened on February 23, 1993 and holds 4,387 people. The facility is named after Hall of Fame broadcaster Lindsey Nelson, who attended the university and founded the Vol Radio Network. From 2006 to 2019, the university undertook three major renovations to the stadium. Originally a natural grass playing surface, the 2019 renovation converted the field to Field Turf. Other renovations included premium seating, outfield wall improvements, and player facilities.
