2013 Sioux Falls Storm Season
The 2013 Sioux Falls Storm season was the team's fourteenth season as a professional indoor football franchise and fifth in the Indoor Football League (IFL). One of just nine teams competing in the IFL for the 2013 season, the Sioux Falls Storm were members of the United Conference. Led by head coach Kurtiss Riggs, the Storm played their home games at the Sioux Falls Arena in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Sioux Falls entered the 2013 season following consecutive wins in the league's "United Bowl" championship game in 2011 and 2012. After early season struggles, 36-year-old former MVP quarterback Terrance Bryant returned under center. Bryant had quarterbacked the team to their United Indoor Football titles from 2005-2008 and had his number 5 retired. Bryant returned as number 15. Sioux Falls Arena
Sioux Falls Arena is a 7,500-seat multi-purpose arena located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The facility was built in 1961. It seats 6,113 for basketball games and 4,760 for indoor football and hockey. It was the home of the Sioux Falls Skyforce basketball team (1989–2013), the Sioux Falls Storm indoor American football, indoor football team, and the Sioux Falls Stampede ice hockey team, as well as a variety of state high school championship events. The Sioux Falls Arena hosted the men's and women's The Summit League, Summit League Basketball Championship from 2009 until the opening of the Denny Sanford Premier Center, Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in 2014. Beginning in the fall of 2014, the Arena has been the home of Augustana (South Dakota) Vikings, Augustana University Vikings men's and women's basketball games. The Budweiser Events Center is a multi-purpose arena in Loveland, Colorado, northeast of Denver. Tyler Knight (born December 22, 1984) is a professional indoor football linebacker. He played college football at Mississippi Valley State, and currently plays for the Sioux City Bandits. Early life Knight prepped at McClellan Magnet High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. College career Knight attended Mississippi Valley State University after high school. After his junior season in 2005, Knight was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Defensive Player of the Year, earning 1st Team All-SWAC honors. Knight was picked as the preseason 2006 SWAC Defensive Player of the Year, but couldn't reclaim the title, but he was still named First Team All-SWAC. Mike Tatum
Mike Anthony Tatum (born April 29, 1986) is an indoor American football wide receiver for the Bismarck Bucks of the Indoor Football League (IFL). He played college football at Oxnard College. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Marion Mayhem in 2009. He played with the Mayhem until their demise during the 2010 season. Tatum then finished the 2010 season with the Fort Wayne FireHawks. Tatum then returned to Marion in 2011, when a new franchise called the Marion Blue Racers expanded into the CIFL. Clinton Solomon (born October 21, 1983) is an American football wide receiver for the Texas Revolution (indoor football), Texas Revolution of Champions Indoor Football (CIF). He played college football at the University of Iowa. College career Solomon signed to play football for the Iowa Hawkeyes on February 1, 2002. After playing as a freshman, Solomon left Iowa due to his poor grades, and attended Iowa Central Community College during the 2003 school year, where he played for the Tritons. Martevious Young (born February 16, 1988) is a former American football quarterback. Early life Born to Robin Robinson, who died an early death, Martevious was raised by his guardians Joseph and Sheila Young. He played for Coach Willie Carl Martin at Benjamin Russell High School, where he was named a Permanent Starter. He was also a 5A Best Player in state nominee, a Super 12 selection, All-district in his junior and senior years. The Credit Union of Texas Event Center (formerly Allen Event Center) is an American 6,275 fixed-seat multi-purpose indoor arena located in Allen, Texas, a northern suburb of Dallas. The arena opened in 2009 under the name Allen Event Center. Construction cost was $52.6 million ($63.5 million in 2020 dollars). Texas Revolution (IFL)
The Texas Revolution were an American professional indoor football team and a founding member of Champions Indoor Football (CIF). The Revolution were based in Allen and Frisco, Texas, within the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. Founded in 2000 as the Arkansas Twisters, the Little Rock-based team played 10 seasons in af2 before that league folded. The team jumped to the Indoor Football League as the Arkansas Diamonds for the 2010 season. Remaining in the IFL, the team moved to Texas to become the Allen Wranglers for the 2011 and 2012 seasons. In 2012, former NFL standout and future hall of famer Terrell Owens played eight games for the Wranglers before being cut in late May. The ImOn Ice Arena is a 3,850-seat multipurpose arena in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, located adjacent to Veterans Memorial Stadium. The arena opened on January 8, 2000, and is owned by the city of Cedar Rapids. The Now Arena (originally known as the Sears Centre, Sears Centre Arena and stylized as NOW Arena) is a multi-purpose arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, a northwest suburb from Chicago, near land which formerly contained the Poplar Creek Music Theater.
