2013 Saskatchewan Roughriders Season
The 2013 Saskatchewan Roughriders season was the 56th season for the team in the Canadian Football League. The Roughriders improved upon their 8–10 record from 2012 and made the playoffs for the second straight season, while hosting their first playoff game since 2010. After defeating the BC Lions and Calgary Stampeders in the playoffs, the Roughriders qualified for their fourth Grey Cup appearance in seven years and first ever at their home stadium. The team defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 45-23 in the 101st Grey Cup en route to winning the franchise's fourth championship. With the added seats at Mosaic Stadium at Taylor Field, the Roughriders led the league in attendance for the first time, with an average of 37,503 fans attending each regular season game. Canadian Football League West Division
The West Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League (CFL), its counterpart being the East Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the West Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. The five teams in the West Division are the BC Lions, Calgary Stampeders, Edmonton Elks, Saskatchewan Roughriders, and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Kris Sweet
Kris Sweet is a professional gridiron football coach who is the offensive line coach for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). College career Sweet played college football as a center for the Carson–Newman Eagles and earned his bachelor's degree in physical education in 1996 and his master's degree in education in 1998. Coaching career College football Sweet began his coaching career as an offensive graduate assistant for the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles in 1997. Following stints with the Holy Cross Crusaders in 1998 and the Elon Phoenix in 1999, he joined the Presbyterian Blue Hose in 2000 as the team's tight ends coach and fullbacks coach. 2014 CFL Draft
The 2014 CFL Draft took place on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 7:00 PM ET on TSN. 65 players were chosen from among eligible players from Canadian Universities across the country, as well as Canadian players playing in the NCAA. A total of 19 trades were made involving draft picks from this year, including six made on draft day itself, with five involving picks from the first round. The Ottawa Redblacks were scheduled to pick first in each round of the 2013 CFL Draft, and were supposed to have two bonus picks at the end of the draft. Due to stadium delays, Ottawa will join the Canadian Football League in 2014, and those stipulations will be applied to this year's draft instead. Justin Harper (American Football)
Justin Harper (born February 24, 1985) is an American college football coach and former professional Canadian football wide receiver. He is currently the tight ends coach at Old Dominion University. Before this, he served as the interim head coach at Virginia State University and was the wide receivers coach at Towson University in Towson, Maryland. Todd Howard (American Football)
Walter Lee Howard (born February 18, 1965) is a gridiron football coach and former linebacker. He was most recently the defensive line coach for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round of the 1987 NFL Draft. Playing career Howard was an all-conference linebacker at Texas A&M before being drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round of the 1987 NFL Draft. George Cortez
George Cortez (born February 11, 1951) is a gridiron football coach who has spent most of his coaching career with in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was notably the head coach for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats during the 2012 season. He attended Texas A&M University. Bob Dyce
Bob Dyce (born December 3, 1965) is the head coach and special teams coordinator for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Winnipeg Blue Bombers
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are a professional Canadian football team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Craig Dickenson
Craig Dickenson (born September 4, 1971) is the head coach for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He has coached professional football since 2000 and won a Grey Cup championship with the Calgary Stampeders in 2008 and with the Edmonton Eskimos in 2015.
