2013 Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom Season
The 2013 Renault UK Clio Cup is a multi-event, one make motor racing championship held across England. The championship features a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded drivers, competing in a Clio Renault Sport 200 that conform to the technical regulations for the championship. 2013 will be the final season for the current car. It forms part of the extensive program of support categories built up around the BTCC centrepiece. This season will be the 18th Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom season. The season will commence on 31 March at Brands Hatch – on the circuit's Indy configuration – and will conclude on 13 October at the same venue, utilising the Grand Prix circuit, after sixteen races to be held at eight meetings, all in support of the 2013 British Touring Car Championship. Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom
The Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom was an entry level One-make, Touring car racing motor sport category and the current name in the long history of Renault one-make cups in the UK. It currently attracts drivers from across the United Kingdom to compete along with several drivers for European countries. The championship has been run to various regulations over the years, and can trace its history back to 1974. Several former drivers have become successful in other Touring car racing formulae, including Andy Priaulx, who went on to become multiple World Touring Car Championship champion and Jason Plato who is multiple British Touring Car Championship champion. The championship currently runs on the support package of the British Touring Car Championship. Ashley Joseph Hand (born 24 April 1994 in Nuneaton) is a British racing driver who competed in the 2022 British Touring Car Championship with CarStore Power Maxed Racing. He was the GT4 champion of the 2019 British GT Championship, driving with Tom Canning. Career Karting Hand started karting in 2008, at the age of 13, and over a 5 year career he won various titles in the Rotax Junior and Rotax Max categories. Aaron Williamson
Aaron Williamson (born 4 June 1992) is a British racing driver who competed in the British Touring Car Championship in 2012. He later returned to the Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom in 2013. Racing career Williamson began his career in the SAXMAX Saloon Car Championship in 2006. He switched to the Ginetta Junior Championship for 2008, taking several top 10 finishes on his way to finishing thirteenth overall, with 189 points,. He joined Muzz Racing for the 2009 Ginetta Junior Championship season, ending the season third in the standings with three victories. Williamson went on to race for Century Motorsport in the 2010 Ginetta G50 Cup season, after the first three rounds, he switched to FML from round six onwards. Josh Cook (born 15 June 1991) is a British racing driver currently competing in the British Touring Car Championship. He debuted in 2015, after being the runner-up in the Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom in 2014. Racing career Cook began his career in karting in 2003, before graduating to the SAXMAX Saloon Car Championship in 2007. He is currently driving for BPM Motorsport in the 2019 Dunlop Endurance Championship with Ashley Woodman.
