Julia Boserup
Julia Boserup (born September 9, 1991) is an American retired tennis player of Danish descent. Boserup began playing tennis at age six, after her mother, a native of Denmark, enrolled her in group tennis lessons. She was home schooled in high school, which allowed her to focus more time on her tennis career which began in 2006. In 2017, she reached her highest WTA singles ranking of world No. 80, whilst her best doubles ranking was No. 218. However, she suffered from injuries, and in May 2019, she announced her retirement. Junior accomplishments Boserup won the USTA Orange Bowl in 2008, outlasting fellow American Christina McHale in three sets, in the final match. Caitlin Whoriskey (born February 19, 1988) is an American former professional tennis player. She played collegiately at the University of Tennessee, where she was a three-time All-American. Whoriskey finished runner-up in doubles at the 2010 NCAA Women's Tennis Championship, playing with Natalie Pluskota. She recorded a victory in her first-ever ITF tournament as a professional, partnering with Kaitlyn Christian and taking the doubles crown at the 2010 Mt. Pleasant Pro Classic. College career Whoriskey played her college tennis for co-head coaches Mike Patrick and Sonia-Hahn Patrick at the University of Tennessee. Taylor Townsend (born April 16, 1996) is an American professional tennis player. She reached career-high WTA rankings of world No. 61 in singles (July 2018) and No. 31 in doubles (December 2022). She also reached the doubles final of the 2022 US Open with Caty McNally. ITF Junior Circuit
The ITF Junior Circuit is the premier level for worldwide competition among under-18 junior tennis players. Founded in 1977 with only nine tournaments, the 2011 ITF Junior Circuit offered over 350 tournaments in 118 countries. Mirroring the ATP and WTA circuits, the ITF Junior Circuit ranks players and crowns a year end world champion. History The ITF Junior Circuit is organized by the International Tennis Federation. Alexandra Kiick (; born June 30, 1995) is an American tennis player. Kiick has won seven singles titles and two doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. In June 2019, she reached her career-high singles ranking of world No. 126. In May 2014, she peaked at No. 214 in the doubles rankings. Career Between August 2015 and May 2017, Kiick did not play in any ITF Circuit tournaments. She was sidelined during this time because she was diagnosed with stage-II-skin cancer (melanoma) and severe knee injuries that caused her to be out for a total of three years and two months.
