2013 Nebelhorn Trophy
The 2013 Nebelhorn Trophy was held on September 26–28, 2013 at the Eislaufzentrum Oberstdorf. It is held annually in Oberstdorf, Germany and is named after the Nebelhorn, a nearby mountain. Medals were awarded in men's and ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Nebelhorn was the last qualifying event for the 2014 Winter Olympics. Overview Though most Olympic spots were earned at the 2013 World Championships, six spots in each of men's and ladies' singles, four in pair skating, and five in ice dance were available at Nebelhorn for countries which remained without a berth in a discipline. Skaters from previously qualified countries also competed but only for medals; Nebelhorn could not be used to earn additional spots if a country already had one in a discipline. 2013–14 Figure Skating Season
The 2013–14 figure skating season began on July 1, 2013, and ended on June 30, 2014. During this season, elite skaters competed at the Olympic level in the 2014 Winter Olympics and at the ISU Championship level in the 2014 European, Four Continents, World Junior, and World Championships. Evgeni Krasnopolski
Evgeni Krasnopolski ( he, יבגני קרסנופולסקי ukr, Євгеній Краснопольський; born 4 October 1988) is a Ukrainian-born Israeli retired pair skater. Krasnopolski and Andrea Davidovich were the first pair representing Israel to qualify for Israel at the 2014 Olympics. They finished 15th in Sochi. Krasnopolski competed with Danielle Montalbano from 2009 to 2012. Andrea "Anya" Davidovich (born March 24, 1997) is a former competitive pair skater. She and Evgeni Krasnopolski were the first pair representing Israel to qualify for an Olympics. They finished 15th in Sochi. Anya is currently a student at New York University studying computer science. Early life Davidovich was born on March 24, 1997, in Burlington, Vermont. She was raised in New Jersey and is a dual citizen of the United States and Israel. Career Early career Prior to 2010, Davidovich was a member of Essex Skating Club in West Orange, New Jersey, USA. Alexandr Zaboev (russian: Александр Забоев, born 1 September 1989) is a Russian pair skater. From 2012 to 2014, he skated with Natalja Zabijako for Estonia, placing tenth at the 2014 European Championships. Although they qualified a spot for Estonia in the pairs' event at the 2014 Winter Olympics, they did not compete in Sochi because Zaboev's fast-track citizenship application was declined. Aaron Van Cleave (born 14 March 1987) is a German pair skater. He is best known for his partnership with Mari Vartmann for Germany. They won the 2015 German national title, the 2011 NRW Trophy, and 2010 Warsaw Cup. After they parted ways, he teamed up with Tatiana Domracheva.
