The 2013 Nature's Way Sydney Tennis International was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the first edition of the tournament which was part of the 2013 ATP Challenger Tour and the 2013 ITF Women's Circuit. It took place in Sydney, Australia, between 25 February and 3 March 2013. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Stéphane Robert (; born 17 May 1980) is a professional French tennis player. Career Coach From 2001 to March 2010, Ronan Lafaix was Robert's coach. In May 2016, Lafaix, who is 12 years older than Robert, became Robert's coach for the second time. Lafaix joined the Patrick Mouratoglou tennis academy and has coached several professional tennis players. 2007–2008 Robert missed 16 months of tennis action in 2007–2008 because he was infected with the Hepatitis A virus in February 2007. Sadik Kadir
Sadik Kadir (born 27 July 1981) is a former professional tennis player from Australia. Biography Originally from the Indonesian city of Surabaya, Kadir later grew up in Sydney. Kadir made two main draw appearances at the Australian Open. At the 2005 Australian Open he and Shannon Nettle received a wild card for the men's doubles event. They were beaten in the first round by ninth seeds Cyril Suk and Pavel Vízner. He also featured in the main draw of the 2006 Australian Open, in the men's doubles with Todd Reid. Matt Reid (born 17 July 1990) is an Australian professional tennis player. His highest ATP singles ranking is world No. 183, which he reached on 3 February 2014. His career high in doubles was at world No. 60 set on 11 September 2017. Tennis career As a junior, he was runner-up in the Wimbledon Boys Doubles in 2008 partnering Bernard Tomic. Christopher Luke Guccione ( ; born 30 July 1985) is an inactive Australian professional tennis player from Greenvale, Victoria. He has won five ATP Tour doubles titles, and reached career-high rankings of singles world No. 67 in April 2008 and doubles world No. 38 in November 2014. Michael Venus (born 16 October 1987), is a New Zealander professional tennis player. He has a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 6, achieved on 29 August 2022. Venus won the 2017 French Open men's doubles partnering Ryan Harrison, and followed with a runner-up finish in the 2017 US Open mixed doubles partnering Chan Hao-ching. Venus and Harrison qualified for the year-end championships ATP Finals, where they reached the semifinals. Bradley Mousley
Bradley Mousley (born 3 January 1996) is an Australian tennis player. Mousley won the Australian Open boys' doubles title in both 2013 and 2014. In August 2014, Mousley received a one-year ban, backdated to 30 May 2014, after testing positive for ecstasy in March. Mousley had admitted he had taken the drug at a party in March, and was originally given a two-year ban, but since the drug was not taken with the intent to enhance his performance, the ban was dropped to 12 months.
