2013 Munster Senior Hurling Championship Final
The 2013 Munster Senior Hurling Championship Final was the 122nd final of the Munster Senior Hurling Championship, one of the most prestigious provincial hurling championships. The match, contested by Limerick and Cork, took place on 14 July 2013 at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick, and started at 4:00 p.m. It was Limerick's 45th Munster final and Cork's 80th. In Ireland, the match was televised live on ''the Sunday Game'' on RTÉ Two with commentary from Ger Canning and Michael Duignan. The 2013 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 126th staging of the All-Ireland championship since its establishment in 1887. The draw for the 2013 fixtures took place on 4 October 2012. The championship began on 5 May 2013 and ended on 28 September 2013 with Clare winning their fourth All Ireland title after a 5–16 to 3–16 win against Cork in the replayed final. Kilkenny GAA, Kilkenny were the 2012 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final, defending champions. However, they were knocked out of the Leinster Championship by eventual Leinster champions Dublin GAA, Dublin at the semi-final stage and Cork saw them off in the All-Ireland quarter-final. Niall Moran
Niall Moran (born 1 March 1983) is an Irish hurler who played as a centre-forward for the Limerick senior team. Born in Castleconnell, County Limerick, Moran first played competitive hurling whilst at Ardscoil Rís. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of eighteen when he first linked up with the Limerick minor team, before later lining out with the under-21 side. He made his senior debut in the 2003 championship. Moran went on to play a key part in the forwards for a decade, and won one Munster medal and one National Hurling League (Division 2) medal. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. As a member of the Munster inter-provincial team at various times, Moran won one Railway Cup medal in 2007. Shane Dowling (hurler)
Shane Dowling (born 21 February 1993) is an Irish hurler who plays as a half-forward for club side Na Piarsaigh and previously at inter-county level with the Limerick senior hurling team. Playing career College Dowling first came to prominence as a hurler with Ardscoil Rís in Limerick. Having played in every grade as a hurler, he was centre-forward on the college's senior hurling team. On 11 March 2010, Dowling scored a point from play when Ardscoil Rís defeated Thurles CBS in the final of the Harty Cup. John O'Dwyer
John O'Dwyer (born 17 September 1991) is an Irish hurling, hurler who plays for Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship, Tipperary Senior Championship club Killenaule GAA, Killenaule and previously played at inter-county level with the Tipperary senior hurling team. Brendan Cummins (born 11 May 1975) is an Irish hurler and hurling coach who played as a goalkeeper for the Tipperary senior team. Born in Ardfinnan, County Tipperary, Cummins arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor football team, before later joining the minor hurling team and the under-21 sides in both codes. He made his senior hurling debut in the 1993-94 National Hurling League. The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. Paudie O'Brien (born 5 September 1989) is an Irish hurler who currently plays as a midfielder for the Limerick senior team.
