2013 Logie Awards
The 55th Annual TV Week Logie Awards was held on Sunday 7 April 2013 at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne, and broadcast on the Nine Network and simulcast of Today Network's radio stations. Public voting for the "Most Popular" categories were conducted through an online survey from late November 2012 to 10 February 2013. Nominations were announced on 11 March 2013. Network Ten's '' Offspring'' received the most nominations with eight. ''Hamish and Andy's Euro Gap Year'', '' Hamish and Andy's Caravan of Courage: Australia Vs New Zealand'', ''Home and Away'', '' Howzat! Kerry Packer's War'', and '' Puberty Blues'' each received five nominations. Television presenter Brian Henderson was inducted into the Logies Hall of Fame. Hamish & Andy's Gap Year is a Logie Award–winning comedy series following Hamish Blake and Andy Lee (comedian), Andy Lee, a pair of Australian comedians, on their trips to various international locations. The first season saw the boys visiting America for ten episodes and broadcast their show weekly from New York City. In its second season in 2012, the show was titled ''Hamish & Andy's Euro Gap Year'', and seven episodes were broadcast from The Lord Stanley, a disused pub in East London, England. The third season, known as ''Hamish and Andy's Gap Year Asia'' in 2013, was broadcast from a bar in Bangkok, Thailand, called The Raintree. Hamish Blake
Hamish Donald Blake (born 11 December 1981) is an Australian comedian, television and radio presenter, actor and author. Since 2003, he has worked with Andy Lee as part of the comedy duo Hamish and Andy. The pair have performed live and on television and radio, most notably with their drive-time radio program ''Hamish & Andy''. As a solo performer, Blake has appeared on various Australian television programs, including the Melbourne International Comedy Festival's televised 2008 Great Debate, and has been a regular guest on '' Spicks and Specks'', ''Rove'' and ''Thank God You're Here''. ''The Project'' (previously ''The 7PM Project'' from 2009 to 2011) is an Australian news- current affairs and talk show television panel program, airing weeknights across Australia on Network 10, produced by Roving Enterprises. The show is hosted by Waleed Aly, Sarah Harris, Georgie Tunny, and Hamish Macdonald with rotating daily guest panellists. The one-hour show, formerly half-hour, premiered on 20 July 2009 and airs live in the eastern states with delays in other states (including Queensland during daylight saving).
