Kerala Sahitya Akademi
The Kerala Sahitya Akademi or Academy for Malayalam literature is an autonomous body established to promote the Malayalam language and Malayalam literature, literature. It is situated in City of Thrissur, Kerala in India. History The academy was inaugurated on 15 October 1956, by Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma, the former king of Travancore, in Thiruvananthapuram. It was shifted to its present location at City of Thrissur in September, 1957. Though the Kerala Government provides the funding and support for the academy, the administration of the academy is autonomous according to its constitution. Yusuf Ali Kechery
Yusufali Kechery (Yūsaphali Kēccēri; യൂസഫലി കേച്ചേരി 16 May 1934 – 21 March 2015) was a poet, film lyricist, film producer and director from Kerala, India. He wrote during the modern era of Malayalam poetry and won the Odakkuzhal Award, the Kerala Sahitya Academy Award and the Vallathol Award. Career K. P. Narayana Pisharody was Kechery's Sanskrit teacher and taught him free of cost for four years. Kechery's poetry works include ''Sainaba'', ''Aayiram Navulla Mounam'', ''Anchu Kanyakakal'', ''Nadabhramam'', ''Amrithu'', ''Kecheri Puzha'', ''Anuragagaanam Pole'', ''Aalila'', ''Kadhaye Premicha Kavitha'', ''Perariyatha Nombaram'' and ''Ahaindavam''. Geetha Hiranyan (20 March 1958 – 2 January 2002) was an Indian writer of Malayalam literature. Adoor Gopalakrishnan
Adoor Gopalakrishnan (born 3 July 1941) is an Indian film director, script writer, and producer and is regarded as one of the most notable and renowned filmmakers in India. With the release of his first feature film '' Swayamvaram'' (1972), Gopalakrishnan pioneered the new wave in Malayalam cinema during the 1970s. In a career spanning over five decades, Gopalakrishnan has made only 12 feature films to date. Sippy Pallippuram is an Indian writer of children's literature in Malayalam who has won several awards including Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award and Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award. Bhagyalakshmi
Bhagyalakshmi (born 1 November 1962) is an Indian dubbing artist, actress and activist. She works primarily in Malayalam Film Industry and has dubbed for more than 4000 films in Malayalam cinema, most notably for actresses Shobana and Urvashi. Bhagyalakshmi published her autobiography titled ''Swarabhedangal,'' which received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Biography and Autobiography. Thomas Joseph (8 June 1954 – 29 July 2021) was an Indian writer of Malayalam literature. He received Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Story in 2013 for his work, ''Marichavar Cinema KaanukayaaNu'' (The Dead are Watching Movies).
