2013 IK Start Season
The Norwegian football club IK Start returned to the top league Tippeligaen for the 2013 season. It was their second full season with Mons Ivar Mjelde as manager, and they finished the season in 9th place. IK Start
Idrettsklubben Start (or simply IK Start, translates to The sports club Start ) is a Norwegian football club from the city of Kristiansand that currently plays in the 1. divisjon, the second tier of the Norwegian football league system. The club was founded on 19 September 1905. The club's current head coach is Sindre Tjelmeland. The team plays in yellow jerseys, black shorts and socks at home, and black jerseys, yellow shorts and socks away. They play their home matches at Sør Arena, the club's own football stadium, opened in 2007. Before moving to Sør Arena, IK Start played their games at Kristiansand Stadion. The team's official supporter club was called "Tigerberget", until 2017, when the IK Start board decided to no longer have an official supporter club. Markus "Mako" Heikkinen (born 13 October 1978) is a Finnish former professional footballer who played as a centre back or defensive midfielder. Jesper Mathisen (born 17 March 1987) is a former Norwegian football player. Originally a striker, he converted to being a defender. Sondre Tronstad
Sondre Bjorvand Tronstad (born 26 August 1995) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Vitesse in Eredivisie. He has previously played for the Norwegian club Start, Haugesund and been contracted for two years to Huddersfield Town in the Football League Championship. Christian Tveit
Christian Tveit (born 10 January 1992) is a Norwegian football striker who currently plays for Vindbjart FK. Tveit hails from Farsund and began his career in Farsund IL. The club contested the Third Division between 2008 and 2010, but in 2010 Tveit joined the team Lyngdal IL, only to progress to Mandalskameratene in mid-2010. Ahead of the 2012 season he joined the best team in Southern Norway, IK Start. IK Start won promotion to the 2013 Tippeligaen, where Tveit played 12 games.
