2013 Houston Texans
The 2013 Houston Texans season was the franchise's 12th season in the National Football League. The Texans failed to improve upon their 12–4 record from 2012, suffering through a season-ending 14-game losing streak following a 2–0 start and missing the playoffs for the first time since 2010. Head coach Gary Kubiak was fired after eight seasons following their eleventh loss (Week 14 vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars). Defensive coordinator Wade Phillips was named the interim head coach for the final three games of the season. Their 14-game losing streak is the worst in team history. Coming off a franchise-best 12–4 record just the year before, the Texans tie a league record with the Houston Oilers (who, coincidentally, also went 12–4 in 1993 and 2–14 in 1994) for the biggest season-to-season decline in win total. AFC South
The American Football Conference – Southern Division or AFC South is one of the four divisions of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It was created before the 2002 season when the league realigned divisions after expanding to 32 teams. Since its creation, the division has had the same four members: the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Tennessee Titans. Before the 2002 season, the Texans did not exist, the Colts belonged to the AFC East, and the Titans and Jaguars were members of the AFC Central. Trevardo V. Williams (born December 31, 1990) is a Jamaican-born former American football defensive end. He played college football at Connecticut, and was drafted by the Houston Texans in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Williams has also been a member of the Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, Washington Redskins, Toronto Argonauts. Early years Williams was born in Jamaica, and moved to the United States as a child in 1999. Sidney Sammual Montgomery (born May 25, 1990) is a former American football defensive end. He previously played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and before that the National Football League (NFL), into which he was drafted by the Houston Texans in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He played college football at Louisiana State University, where he earned All-American recognition. Early years Montgomery was born in Greenwood, South Carolina.
