2013 French Road Cycling Cup
The 2013 French Road Cycling Cup was the 22nd edition of the French Road Cycling Cup. Compared to the previous edition, the Flèche d'Emeraude was replaced by the Tour de la Somme. The defending champion from 2012 was Samuel Dumoulin, who won for a second consecutive time after a third place in the final event allowed him to overtake Bryan Coquard and Anthony Geslin in the overall standings. Bryan Coquard still won the youth classification, while won the teams competition. Events Points standings Individual In order to be eligible for the classification, riders either had to be French or competed for a French-licensed team. Young rider classification In order to be eligible for the classification, riders had to be younger than 25 and either had to be French or competed for a French-licensed team. French Road Cycling Cup
The French Road Cycling Cup (English for Coupe de France de cyclisme sur route) is a road bicycle racing competition under the Fédération Francaise de Cyclisme (French Cycling Federation) each year since 1992. It consists of a number of one-day races in France each year. Each of these races is open for all riders, but until 2015 only French riders and riders who were part of a French team were able to score points for the French Road Cycling Cup. As of 2016, all riders score points. The team competition remains a contest between the French teams only. Points system For the individual rankings, points are awarded to all eligible riders each race according to the following table: Each race, the positions of the first three riders of each French team are added to give the team position. Aleksejs Saramotins
Aleksejs Saramotins (born 8 April 1982) is a Latvian professional road cyclist, who last rode for UCI Continental team . He has won the Latvian National Road Race Championships on seven occasions and has represented his country at the Summer Olympic Games and the UCI Road World Championships. Career Amateur career Before signing a professional contract Saramotins raced in cross-country mountain biking races. Professional career In 2009 he won the Münsterland Giro whilst riding for which led to him joining in 2010. Saramotins left his team of two years at the end of the 2012 season, and joined the new team for the 2013 season. Matthieu Ladagnous (born 12 December 1984) is a French road and track racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Born in Pau, Ladagnous became junior world champion at the madison in Melbourne, Australia in 2002 with his partner Tom Thiblier. In 2003 he won the French national title at the points race for the under-23 level. He also won a bronze medal at the individual sprint (under-23) and a silver medal at the madison with Fabien Patanchon in the elite class. Later that year he and Patanchon became European champions at the under-23 track cycling championships. A year later he won the bronze medal at the scratch in the 2003 under-23 championships. Francis Mourey (born 8 December 1980) is a French former professional cyclo-cross and road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2004 and 2017. He won the 2013 Tro-Bro Léon, leading home an clean sweep of the podium as teammates Johan Le Bon and Anthony Geslin followed him across the finish line.
