2013 Football Federation Tasmania Season
The Football Federation Tasmania 2013 season was the first season under the new competition format in Tasmania. The competition consists of three major divisions across the State of Tasmania, created from the teams in the previous structure. The overall premier for the new structure qualified for the National Premier Leagues finals series, competing with the other state federation champions in a final knockout tournament to decide the 2013 National Premier Leagues#Finals 6, National Premier Leagues Champion for 2013. Football Federation Tasmania
Football Tasmania (FT) is the governing body for soccer in the Australian state of Tasmania. The federation oversees competitions across Tasmania, Tasmanian representative teams, and development of the sport in the state. The federation was known as the Tasmanian Soccer Association until 1996, when it was renamed to Soccer Tasmania. In line with national changes in March 2006, it became Football Federation Tasmania. In February 2019, the organisation became simply Football Tasmania. Football Tasmania sanctions all competitive football matches in Tasmania, either directly in the case of its own leagues, or indirectly, as is the case with local regional junior associations. FT also trains and appoints match officials in accordance with FIFA guidelines. Burnie United FC
Burnie United Football Club is a soccer club which represents Burnie in the Tasmanian Northern Championship. The club also fields teams in all junior divisions, as well as women's teams. Burnie United play their home games at Montello, in Burnie, Tasmania. Burnie United was formed out of a unification in 1978 between Burnie Spartans and Burnie Rovers, both of which clubs played at Montello. Clarence United
Clarence United Football Club was an amateur soccer club based in the City of Clarence, Tasmania, which competed in the NPL Tasmania, the second tier of the sport in the country below the A-League. Founded in 1978 the club spent much of its early history competing in lower divisions, where it has been reasonably successful, winning several lower division titles and cups. Despite this, Clarence United had struggled for many years to attain success at the highest level within the state, although Clarence United was finally crowned state champions for the first time in 2009. University Soccer Club is a soccer club which represents the University of Tasmania in the Tasmanian Southern Championship which fields both men's and women's teams. History The university first competed in the KO Cup in 1957, although it is believed football was played here prior to this time. They did well in their inaugural year, although drawing the KO Cup final 1–1 against South Hobart, they won on the toss of a coin. They won again after a 1–1 draw the following year, this time against ANM and by right of the most corners in extra-time. 1960 saw them Division 1 champions, and promoted into the Southern Premier League for the first time, where they finished 5th in their first season. Hobart City Football Club is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in the suburb of Sandy Bay in Hobart, Tasmania. The club's colours are green and black. Taroona FC
Taroona Football Club is a soccer club which represents Taroona in the Tasmanian Southern Championship. History The first club in Taroona was Taroona Ajax, which was formed in 1972. Taroon Ajax won the Division 1 league in 1973, gaining promotion to the Premier League for 1974. They were relegated in 1974 and the club disbanded in 1976. New Town Eagles
New Town Eagles Soccer Club is a soccer, football (soccer) club which represents New Town, Tasmania, New Town in the Tasmanian Southern Championship. The club also fields teams in all junior divisions. New Town Eagles play their home games at Clare Street, in New Town. The club began life as White Eagle, who proudly represented the Polish people, Polish migrant community in Tasmania. The Southern Championship is an association football league in Southern Tasmania. It is jointly with the Northern Championship, the second highest level soccer competition in Tasmania. Prospect Knights FC, was an Australian association football, soccer club from Prospect, Tasmania formed from the merger of Western Suburbs and Launceston Croatia Soccer Clubs the club competed in the Northern Premier League (Tasmania), Northern Premier League before dissolving in 2015. The Australian soccer league system is the league structure for soccer clubs in Australia. The league system in Australia since 1977 has involved one top divisional league controlled by Football Australia and many leagues run within each state below. The National Soccer League stood from 1977 to 2004 as the top nationwide tier above the current state-based league systems, in 2005, the A-League was established as its successor.
