The 2013 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship was the 9th edition of the event. It was held in Betim, Brazil from 15 to 20 October 2013. Sada Cruzeiro won the title for the first time in front their home crowd. Wallace de Souza was named Most Valuable Player. Associação Social E Esportiva Sada
Sada Cruzeiro Vôlei is a Brazilian professional volleyball team based in Contagem, Minas Gerais, Brazil. They compete in the Brazilian Superliga and were the champions in the 2011–12, 2013–14 and 2014–15 seasons. In 2012, 2014 and 2016 won the South American Championship. History Founded in 2006 in Betim, part of the Belo Horizonte metropolitan area in the state of Minas Gerais, Sada merged with Cruzeiro in 2009 and is now based in neighbouring Contagem. The volleyball team was founded in 2006 as "Sada Betim" and had the Grupo Sada as the main sponsor. Throughout the years, Sada, the company based in Betim, Minas Gerais, has become responsible for managing the "Club", and in 2008 the "Associação Social e Esportiva Sada" was created. Yoandy Leal
Yoandy Leal Hidalgo (born 31 August 1988) is a volleyball player who plays as a wing-spiker for Italian club Gas Sales Piacenza. Born in Cuba, he is a former member of the Cuba men's national team (2007–2010) and currently represents Brazil (since 2019) after gained the Brazilian citizenship in June 2015. Leal played four years with the Cuban national team, debuting at the 2007 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship. In the 2008 World Olympic Qualification Tournament in Düsseldorf that would give a spot at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Cuba did not qualify, finishing second to hosts Germany, but Leal was chosen Best Spiker and Server of the championship. His last tournament with Cuba was the 2010 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, where Leal won the silver medal. William Arjona
William Arjona (born 31 July 1979) is a Brazilian volleyball player, a member of Brazil men's national volleyball team and Brazilian club Sada Cruzeiro. He is a 2016 Olympic Champion. Arjona was called up for the adult national team for the first time in 2003, he played four years in Bolivar, where he conquered the national championship four times and was chosen as the best player in the country. He came back in Brazil in 2010 to play for Sada Cruzeiro, where he won the Superliga 2012 as the best setter in the competition. In 2013, he was called and took part in Brazil World League silver medal campaign and won the gold medal in the South American Championship. Arjona was named Best Setter in World Club Championship. A single-elimination, knockout, or sudden death tournament is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of each match-up is immediately eliminated from the tournament.
