2013 Atlanta Falcons Season
The Atlanta Falcons season was the franchise's 48th season in the National Football League and the sixth under head coach Mike Smith. The Falcons entered the season as one of the Super Bowl favorites; However, due to multiple key injuries to the team, the Falcons failed to improve on their 13–3 season from 2012, after a 23–30 loss to the New England Patriots in week 4 and failed to match their 13–3 record from last year as a result of a 28–30 week 5 loss against the New York Jets. The National Football Conference – Southern Division or NFC South is one of the four Division (sport), divisions of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). Desmond Trufant (born September 10, 1990) is an American football cornerback who is a free agent. He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He played college football at Washington. Early years Trufant attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Tacoma, Washington. He was named first-team all-state by the ''Seattle Times'' following his senior season, and also earned a spot on the ''Seattle Times'' preseason all-state team. He was named to the All-Narrows League first team as both a running back and cornerback as a senior, after posting 47 tackles and eight interceptions as a junior, when he was an All-Narrows League first-team cornerback. The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. Levine Joseph Toilolo (born July 30, 1991) is an American football tight end who is a free agent. He played college football at Stanford, and was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Early years Toilolo was born in San Diego, California.
