2013 All-Big Ten Conference Football Team
The 2013 All-Big Ten Conference football team consists of American football players chosen as All-Big Ten Conference players for the 2013 Big Ten Conference football season. The conference recognizes two official All-Big Ten selectors: (1) the Big Ten conference coaches selected separate offensive and defensive units and named first- and second-team players (the "Coaches" team); and (2) a panel of sports writers and broadcasters covering the Big Ten also selected offensive and defensive units and named first- and second-team players (the "Media" team). 2013 Big Ten Conference Football Season
The 2013 Big Ten Conference football season was the 118th season for the Big Ten. The conference began its season on Thursday, August 29, as Minnesota and Indiana began their 2013 season of NCAA Division I FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) competition. Michigan State began their season the following day, and the rest of the conference began their season on September 1. This was the league's final season as a 12-team conference before Maryland and Rutgers join the Big Ten Conference for the 2014 season. It was also the final season with the "Leaders" and "Legends" divisions; when Maryland and Rutgers join, the conference will reorganize its divisions on a pure geographic basis. The six schools in the Central Time Zone will be joined by Purdue in the new West Division, with the other schools making up the East Division. Jeremy Gallon
Jeremy Jermaine Gallon (born February 9, 1990) is a former American football wide receiver. He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at Michigan. High school career Gallon played high school football as a quarterback, running back and safety for Apopka High School in Apopka, Florida. In three years of varsity football, he gained 5,905 yards of total offense (4,281 rushing yards and 1,624 passing yards), scored 53 rushing touchdowns and threw for 15 touchdowns. Gallon had been a running back as a sophomore, but he was moved to quarterback in his junior year. Ra'Shede Hageman (born Ra'Shede Knox; August 8, 1990) is an American football defensive tackle for the Daytona Beach team of the American Patriot League (APL). He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at Minnesota. Early years Ra’shede Hageman was born in Minneapolis with younger brother Xavier. Hageman traveled in, and out of various foster homes in Minneapolis-Saint Paul area, until being adopted at age 7. Shilique Calhoun (born March 20, 1992) is an American football outside linebacker who is a free agent. He was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the third round in the 2016 NFL Draft. Devin Akeem Funchess (born May 21, 1994) is a former American football tight end. He played college football at Michigan, and was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He has also been a member of the Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers. John Cameron Urschel (born June 24, 1991) is a Canadian-American mathematician, former professional American football guard and center and chess player. He played college football at Penn State and was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
