The 2012–13 season was West Ham Uniteds first season back in the Premier League after a one-year absence. West Ham gained promotion by winning the 2012 Championship play-off final against Blackpool at the end of the 2011–12 campaign. West or Occident is one of the four cardinal directions or points of the compass. It is the opposite direction from east and is the direction in which the Sun sets on the Earth. Jussi Jääskeläinen
Jussi Albert Jääskeläinen (; born 19 April 1975) is a Finnish football coach and retired footballer who played as a goalkeeper. During his career, Jääskeläinen most notably represented Bolton Wanderers from 1997 until 2012, making 530 appearances across all competitions. He left Bolton for West Ham United at the end of the 2011–12 season, moving on after three seasons to Wigan Athletic on a free transfer. In his first season with Wigan, he won the League One title. He left Wigan after two seasons to join Indian club ATK, where he retired in 2018. Jääskeläinen earned 56 caps for the Finland national team, making his debut in 1998 and retiring from international football in 2010. Oliver Lee (footballer)
Oliver Robert Lee (born 11 July 1991) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for English club Gillingham. Lee started his career as a youth player with West Ham United, with whom he turned professional in 2009. He made his debut in the Football League during the first of two loan spells at Dagenham & Redbridge in 2011, and also played on loan to League Two club Gillingham in 2012. He never made a senior appearance for West Ham, and moved on to Barnet in July 2012. After nine months and thirteen appearances, he signed for Championship club Birmingham City on loan. Despite not having played first-team football for Birmingham, the loan was converted to a permanent transfer in May 2013. Frank Nouble
Frank Herman Nouble (born 24 September 1991) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for League Two club Colchester United. Nouble started his career with the youth team at Chelsea before signing for West Ham United. While at West Ham, he was loaned out on seven occasions. Nouble made five appearances for Wolverhampton Wanderers before signing for Ipswich Town in 2013. After 18 months at Ipswich he was loaned to Coventry City and in January 2015 signed for the club on a free transfer. In June 2015 he moved to China to play for Tianjin Songjiang, returning to England in October 2016 to sign for Gillingham. Papa Bouba Diop
Papa Bouba Diop (28 January 197829 November 2020) was a Senegalese professional footballer. His preferred position was defensive midfield but he could also play as a centre back, where he previously played at Lens. Diop was considered a strong and aggressive player. His playing style and ability drew comparisons to Patrick Vieira. Diop spent much of his career in England, where fans nicknamed him "The Wardrobe" for his stature. He played for Fulham and Portsmouth in the Premier League, and won the FA Cup with the latter club in 2008. He also played top-flight football in Switzerland for Neuchâtel Xamax and Grasshopper, in France for Lens and in Greece for AEK Athens. Abdoulaye Faye
Abdoulaye Diagne-Faye (born 26 February 1978), known as Abdoulaye Faye, is a Senegalese former footballer who played as a defender. Faye began his career playing for ASEC Ndiambour and Jeanne d'Arc in his native Senegal before moving to French side Lens in 2002. After spending time out on loan at Istres he attracted the attentions of Sam Allardyce who signed him for Bolton Wanderers in July 2005. After two seasons at Bolton he followed Allardyce to Newcastle United where he spent one season before joining Stoke City in August 2008 for £2.25 million. John Carew
John Alieu Carew (born 5 September 1979) is a Norwegian former professional footballer who played as a forward. He was capped 91 times, scoring 24 goals for the Norway national team. As of 2023, he has been hired until the end of 2024 at Norwegian Football Federation where he will be working with children and youth; the president of the federation hopes that Carew will have permission to work in the position, while serving his prison sentence with an electronic ankle tag. Julien Alex Thomas Faubert (born 1 August 1983) is a professional footballer who represented both France and Martinique internationally. He plays as a right winger or midfielder. Faubert started his footballing career in France with Cannes before moving to Bordeaux. In 2007, he moved to England to play for West Ham. Stephen Francis Henderson (born 2 May 1988) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. He is currently a free agent. Blackpool is a seaside resort in Lancashire, England. Located on the northwest coast of England, it is the main settlement within the borough also called Blackpool.
