2012–13 UCI Track Cycling World Cup
The 2012–2013 UCI Track Cycling World Cup (also known as the 2012–2013 UCI Track Cycling World Cup, presented by Samsung for sponsorship reasons.) is a multi race tournament over a track cycling. It was the twenty-first series of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup organised by the Union Cycliste Internationale. The series ran from 11 October 2012 to 19 January 2013 and consisted of three rounds in Cali, Glasgow and Aguascalientes. Series The 2012–2013 UCI Track Cycling World Cup consisted of three rounds, in Cali ( Colombia), Glasgow (United Kingdom) and Aguascalientes (Mexico). Cali, Colombia The first round of the World Cup was hosted in Cali, the third most populated city in Colombia. Cali has hosted the World Cup on twelve occasions. UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics
The UCI Track Cycling World Cup (formerly known as the UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics) is a multi race tournament held over a track cycling season - usually between October and February. Each series is divided into several rounds, each held in a different country. Format The UCI Track Cycling World Cup is a key event within the Track Cycling calendar, with only the World Championships and the Olympic Games attracting more World Ranking points. The series is open to national teams and registered trade teams who compete over a number of track cycling disciplines. The overall classification is decided on a points system with riders or teams amassing points in each discipline competed during each round of the series. The rider or team that has the greatest number of points in each discipline wears a white jersey in that discipline in the following round to denote their status as leader. Fabián Puerta
Fabian Hernando Puerta Zapata (born 12 July 1991) is a Colombian track cyclist. He competed in keirin at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and in keirin at the 2011 Pan American Games where he won a gold medal. He is married to fellow track cyclist Juliana Gaviria, and is brother in law to former track World Champion and Giro D'Italia points classification winner Fernando Gaviria. Sanctions On 14 August 2018 the Union Cycliste Internationale announced that it had notified Fabian Hernando Puerta Zapata of an Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF) of boldenone in a sample collected in the scope of an out-of-competition control on 11 June 2018. In accordance with UCI Anti-Doping Rules, Puerta was provisionally suspended until the adjudication of the affair. Sergey Vladimirovich Shilov (russian: Сергей Владимирович Шилов; born 6 February 1988) is a Russian road racing cyclist, who most recently rode for UCI Continental team . Career Shilov has won two professional level races in his career, along with several others at lower levels.
