2012–13 Stevenage F.C. Season
The 2012–13 season was Stevenage F.C.'s third season in the Football League, where the club competed in League One. This article shows statistics of the club's players in the season, and also lists all matches that the club played during the season. Their sixth-place finish and subsequent play-off semi-final defeat during the 2011–12 campaign means it was Stevenage's second season of playing in League One, having only spent two years as a Football League club. The season also marked the third season that the club played under its new name – Stevenage Football Club, dropping 'Borough' from its title as of 1 June 2010. Stevenage ( ) is a large town and borough in Hertfordshire, England, about north of London. Stevenage is east of junctions 7 and 8 of the A1(M), between Letchworth Garden City to the north and Welwyn Garden City to the south. In 1946, Stevenage was designated the United Kingdom's first New Town under the New Towns Act. Etymology "Stevenage" may derive from Old English ''stiþen āc'' / ''stiðen āc'' / ''stithen ac'' (various Old English dialects cited here) meaning "(place at) the stiff oak". Chris Beardsley
Christopher Kellan Beardsley (born 28 February 1984) is an English former professional footballer who played as a striker. He is the fitness coach at club Burton Albion. Beardsley played youth football with Mickleover Sports and Derby County before starting his senior career with Mansfield Town. He broke into the first team in December 2002, and spent a brief period on loan at Worksop Town in the 2003–04 season. He left Mansfield in June 2004 and joined Doncaster Rovers a month later. He failed to make an impact, and signed for Kidderminster Harriers in December 2004. He rejoined Mansfield in July 2005, but did not play regularly in his one-and-a-half-year stay, and was loaned out to Conference National club Rushden & Diamonds in January 2007. Steve Arnold (footballer Born 1989)
Steven John William Arnold (born 22 August 1989) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for League Two club Sutton United. Arnold signed as an academy scholar at Norwich City's centre of excellence in 2005, following short spells in the youth teams of Boreham Wood and Arsenal. He signed his first professional contract at Norwich in 2007, but was released in May 2008 having not played for the first-team. Arnold signed for Grays Athletic and spent the 2008–09 season there, before joining Conference South club Eastleigh, spending the first half of the 2009–10 season with the club. He signed for Wycombe Wanderers in January 2010. During his time at Wycombe, he was loaned out to Conference Premier team Hayes & Yeading United, and played regularly for the club during the 2011–12 season. The English Football League Two (often referred to as League Two for short or Sky Bet League Two for sponsorship purposes, and known as the Football League Two from 2004 until 2016) is the third and lowest division of the English Football League (EFL) and fourth-highest division overall in the English football league system. Craig Kevin Reid (born 17 December 1985) is an English footballer who plays as a striker. Reid started his career at Coventry City's youth academy in 2000, spending two years at the club before opting to join Ipswich Town in 2002. He spent two years at Ipswich, and then returned to Coventry, under a professional contract, in 2004. During his time at Coventry, Reid spent a month on loan at Conference National club Tamworth in March 2006. He was released by Coventry at the end of the 2005–06 season having not made a first-team appearance for his hometown club. In January 2007, Reid signed for Cheltenham Town and spent a year-and-a-half there before being released by the club in May 2008. Peterborough () is a cathedral city in Cambridgeshire, east of England. The English Football League Championship (often referred to as the Championship for short or the Sky Bet Championship for sponsorship purposes) is the highest division of the English Football League (EFL) and second-highest overall in the English football league system, after the Premier League. The league is contested by 24 clubs. Lawrie Robert Wilson (born 11 September 1987) is an English footballer who plays as a right-back for club Billericay Town. Wilson started his career at Charlton Athletic, and played regularly for the club's under-18 and reserve teams until he was released in 2006. He joined Colchester United ahead of the 2006–07 season, but did not make any first-team appearances during his one-year stay with the club. During his time at Colchester, he was loaned out to Conference South club Welling United, making four appearances during his one-month loan spell. Michael Paul Trevor Bostwick (born 17 May 1988) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for National League North club Boston United. Bostwick started his career at Millwall, and played regularly for the club's under-18 team and reserve team. At the age of 17, he joined Conference National club Crawley Town on a work experience loan during the latter stages of 2005–06 season.
