2012–13 Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks Basketball Team
The 2012–13 Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks basketball team represented Stephen F. Austin University during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Lumberjacks, led by 13th year head coach Danny Kaspar, played their home games at the William R. Johnson Coliseum and were members of the Southland Conference. They finished the season 27–5, 16–2 in Southland play to win the Southland regular season championship. They advanced to the championship game of the 2013 Southland Conference men's basketball tournament, Southland tournament where they lost to Northwestern State. As a regular season conference champion who failed to win their conference tournament, they received an automatic bid to the 2013 National Invitation Tournament, 2013 NIT where they lost in the first round to Stanford. Danny Kaspar
Daniel Joseph Kaspar (born November 16, 1954) is an American college basketball coach. Kaspar served as men's basketball head coach at the Incarnate Word Cardinals men's basketball, University of the Incarnate Word, Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks basketball, Stephen F. Austin State University, and Texas State Bobcats men's basketball, Texas State University. He has also been an assistant coach at Lamar University, Lamar, Midwestern State University, Midwestern State and Baylor University, Baylor. Slidell is a city on the northeast shore of Lake Pontchartrain in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 28,781 at the 2020 census. Howard Payne University
Howard Payne University is a private Baptist university in Brownwood, Texas. It is affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas. Howard Payne College was founded by Reverend Noah T. Byers and Dr. John David Robnett in 1889. The institution is named for its first major benefactor, Edward Howard Payne, who was the brother-in-law of Robnett. Taylor Smith (born July 23, 1991) is an American basketball player for Scaligera Verona of the LBA. He played college basketball for Stephen F. Austin State University. College career Smith, a 6'6" forward from Schertz, Texas, played two seasons at McLennan Community College before enrolling at Stephen F. Austin (SFA). As a senior in the 2012–13 season, Smith led NCAA Division I in field goal percentage after converting 69.4% of his attempts. Durant is a city near the central eastern border of Holmes County, Mississippi, United States, and Big Black River.
