The 2012–13 St. John's Red Storm men's basketball team represented St. John's University during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was coached by Steve Lavin in his third year at the school. Big East Conference (1979–2013)
The Big East Conference was a collegiate athletics conference that consisted of as many as 16 universities in the eastern half of the United States from 1979 to 2013. The conference's members participated in 24 NCAA sports. The conference had a history of success at the national level in basketball throughout its history, while its shorter (1991 to 2013) football program, created by inviting one college and four other "associate members" (their football programs only) into the conference, resulted in two national championships. In basketball, Big East teams made 18 Final Four appearances and won 7 NCAA championships as Big East members through 2013 (UConn with three, Georgetown, Syracuse, Louisville and Villanova with one each). JaKarr Sampson
JaKarr Jordan Sampson (born March 20, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for Liaoning Flying Leopards of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He played college basketball for the St. John's Red Storm. He is a frequent rebounder and shot-blocker, and is noted for his speed and a near 7'0" wingspan. He won a national championship with Brewster Academy in 2012 after achieving star status with his high school team. High school career Sampson attended St. Vincent–St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio from 2007 to 2010, before transferring to Brewster Academy in August 2010 for his senior year. In November 2010, he signed a National Letter of Intent to play college basketball at St. John's University. Orlando Sánchez (basketball)
Orlando Emilio Sánchez Caminero (born May 26, 1988) is a Dominican professional basketball player for Bucaneros de La Guaira of the Venezuelan Liga Profesional de Baloncesto (LPB). He played college basketball for Monroe College and St. John's University, and has represented the Dominican Republic in international competition. Carmel Valley Village is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Monterey County, California, United States. In 1946, Byington Ford and Tirey L.
