2012–13 Serbian Cup
The 2012–13 Serbian Cup season is the seventh season of the Serbian national football tournament. The competition started on 5 September 2012 and concluded with the Final on 8 May 2013. The winner of the competition will qualify for the 2013–14 UEFA Europa League. Preliminary round A preliminary round was held in order to reduce the number of teams competing in the next round to 32. It consisted of 7 single-legged ties, with penalty shoot-out as decider, if the score was tied after 90 minutes. Appearing in this round were bottom 9 teams from 2011–12 Serbian First League, as well as 5 regional cup winners. The draw contained seeded and unseeded teams. Bottom 9 teams from 2011–12 Serbian First League (RFK Novi Sad, OFK Mladenovac, Kolubara, Čukarički, Banat, Radnički Sombor, Mladi Radnik, Sinđelić Niš and Srem) were set as seeded teams, with 5 regional cup winners (Dunav, Kovačevac, Timok, Jedinstvo Užice and Trepča) being set as unseeded teams. Serbian Cup
The Serbian Cup ( Serbian: Куп Србије, Kup Srbije) is the national football cup of Serbia. The winner of the competition gets a spot in the UEFA Europa League qualifying round. From 2006 to 2010, the competition was known as the Lav Cup for sponsorship reasons. History Serbia's cup tournament is the legal successor to the Serbia and Montenegro Cup and in turn of the Yugoslav Cup. This cup tournament lasted for four seasons up until the dissolution of the state union of Serbia and Montenegro in 2006. The tournament was dominated by Serbian clubs with no Montenegrin sides reaching the final. Belgrade giants Red Star were easily the most successful club reaching the final all four years winning twice and losing in the final the other two seasons. Surprisingly, Red Star's cross-town rival Partizan did not appear in a single final. FK Srem
FK Srem () is a football club based in Sremska Mitrovica, Vojvodina, Serbia. They compete in the Sremska Mitrovica City League, the seventh tier of the national league system. History The club was founded as Građanski in 1919. They initially competed within the Belgrade Football Subassociation. After the reorganization of the Yugoslav football league system, the club joined the Novi Sad Football Subassociation. Following the conclusion of World War II, the club was restored and competed as Srem in the 1946 Serbian League North. They reached the reformed Yugoslav Second League in 1958. Over the next eight seasons, the club participated in Group East, before suffering relegation in 1966. Slobodan Dinčić (; born 7 August 1982) is a Serbian football striker playing for Ponsacco. Club career Born in Belgrade, SR Serbia, Slobodan Dinčić had a very diversified career with mixed success. He started playing football when he joined the youth team of FK Čukarički in 1989. Serbian First League
The Serbian First League ( sr, Прва лига Србије / Prva liga Srbije), referred to as the Mozzart Bet First League ( sr, Моцарт Бет Прва лига / Mozzart Bet Prva liga) for sponsorship reasons, is the name for the second tier in professional Serbia's football league. The league was formed in 2005, following a reshuffle of the second tier Serbo-Montenegrin divisions. It is operated by the Football Association of Serbia. Format The league is usually formed by 16 clubs which play all against one another twice, once at home, once away. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Football Association of Serbia completed a restructure of the league system, and in season 2020/2021 that meant 18 clubs would be competing in the Serbian First League, the number of clubs will go back to the usual 16 following the conclusion of the 2020-2021 season.
