Scunthorpe () is an industrial town and unparished area in the unitary authority of North Lincolnshire in Lincolnshire, England of which it is the main administrative centre. Scunthorpe had an estimated total population of 82,334 in 2016. A predominantly industrial town, the town is the United Kingdom's largest steel processing centre and is also known as the "Industrial Garden Town". It is the third largest settlement in Lincolnshire, after Lincoln and Grimsby. The Member of Parliament for Scunthorpe is Conservative politician Holly Mumby-Croft. History Scunthorpe as a town came into existence due to the exploitation of the local ironstone resources, and subsequent formation of iron works from the 1850s onwards. Callum Ewan Kennedy (born 9 November 1989) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Dorking Wanderers. Career Swindon Town Born in Chertsey, Surrey, Kennedy made his professional debut for Swindon Town at home to Brentford, in a 4–1 win in the Football League Trophy on 4 September 2007. Kennedy signed an eighteen-month professional contract with Swindon in February 2008 before being made captain of the reserve team. He was handed his Football League debut by caretaker manager David Byrne in a 1–1 draw at home to Carlisle United on 6 December 2008. Niall Canavan
Niall David Stephen Canavan (born 11 April 1991) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for Barrow in the English Football League. Born in England, he has represented the Republic of Ireland at youth level. Career Born in Bramley, West Yorkshire, Canavan played with the Academy of Bradford City until he was 12. Canavan signed his first professional contract in April 2009 for Scunthorpe United. Robbie Gibbons
Robert James Gibbons (born 8 October 1991) is an Irish professional footballer. Gibbons is a left footed centre midfield player, but has also appeared on the left side of midfield for the Forest Reserves. He was given the Forest first team squad number 42 shirt at the beginning of the 2010/11 season and appeared on the bench for Nottingham Forest's defeat to Bradford City in the League Cup in August 2010. James Alexander Robert McEwen Severn (born 10 October 1991) is an English footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. Football career Derby County Born in Nottingham, Severn began his football career at his childhood team Derby County. He signed a professional contract at Derby in 2010. Connor Joseph Jennings (born 29 October 1991) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for League Two side Tranmere Rovers. Andrew Barcham (born 16 December 1986) is an English professional footballer who last played for AFC Wimbledon as a winger.
