2012–13 Sacramento Surge Season
The 2012–13 Sacramento Surge season was the first season of the Sacramento Surge professional indoor soccer club. The Surge, a Pacific Division team in the Professional Arena Soccer League, played their home games in the Off the Wall Soccer Arena in Sacramento, California. The team was led by chairman Airrick Harvey and head coach Jorge Fernandez. Season summary The team struggled in the regular season, placing fifth in the PASL's five-team Pacific Division, and failed to advance to the postseason. The Surge compiled a 2–14 record with one win coming against Toros Mexico on January 19, 2013, and the other by forfeit when the Tacoma Stars announced they would not make the trip south for the final game of the regular season. The Surge participated in the 2012–13 United States Open Cup for Arena Soccer. Sacramento Surge were an American professional indoor soccer team based in Sacramento, California. They joined the Professional Arena Soccer League on September 7, 2012. The Anaheim Bolts were an American professional indoor soccer team founded in 2009. Since March 2011, the team had been a member of the Professional Arena Soccer League. Turlock Journal
The Turlock Journal is a newspaper in Turlock, California. It is owned by 209 Multimedia. The Journal was a daily newspaper until 2004, when it was reduced to twice-weekly publication. It has a paid circulation of approximately 4,000. The managing editor is Kristina Hacker. Hank Vander Veen is the publisher. The first edition of the Turlock Journal hit the streets in 1904 as a weekly, when Turlock had just a few hundred people. Founders Harry and Jack Randolph owned the Journal until just after World War I, when the newspaper was sold to printer Edwin Earl Ullberg, who immediately changed the newspaper to a daily. The Farmers’ Press Association, a cooperative, took over the Journal in 1920 and changed the name to the Farmers’ Daily Journal. Escondido is a city in San Diego County, California, United States. Located in the North County region, it was incorporated in 1888, and is one of the oldest cities in San Diego County. It has a population of 151,038 as of the 2020 census. Etymology "Escondido" is a Spanish word meaning "hidden". The ''North County Times'' was a local newspaper in San Diego's North County. It was headquartered in Escondido. The final publisher was Peter York. It was formed in 1995 from the merger of the ''North County Blade-Citizen'' of Oceanside (founded 1929) and the '' Escondido Times-Advocate'' (founded 1909) by Howard Publications. Beginning in 1997, the Times also published ''The Californian'' in Temecula, located in southwest Riverside County. Arizona Storm was a professional indoor soccer team based in Phoenix, Arizona. They played in the Southwestern Division of the Professional Arena Soccer League.
