2012–13 Orlando Magic Season
The 2012–13 Orlando Magic season was the 24th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Magic were eliminated from playoff contention with their 115–109 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on March 17, 2013. This marked the first time since the 2005–06 season that the Magic failed to qualify for the playoffs. Ending the season with a 20–62 record, the Magic finished with the worst record in the NBA. This was also the worst record posted by the Magic since their inaugural season in 1989–90. This was also the first season since 2003-04 that All-Star center Dwight Howard was not on the roster, as he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers (his first stint) on August 10, 2012. Jacque Vaughn
Jacque T. Vaughn (born February 11, 1975) is an American professional basketball coach and former player. He serves as head coach of the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Playing career High school A native of Pasadena, California, Vaughn attended John Muir High School in nearby Pasadena, where he maintained a 3.94 GPA, and became the best high school player in that area since former Muir and NBA standout Stacey Augmon. Vaughn excelled both on and off the court, and by his senior year was ranked as high as the no. 7 high school recruit in the country and the no. 2 point guard in the class of 1993 behind arguably the nation's top player that year, Randy Livingston. 2012 NBA Draft
The 2012 NBA draft was held on June 28, 2012, at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The draft started at 7:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time (2300 UTC), and was broadcast in the United States on ESPN. In this draft, National Basketball Association (NBA) teams took turns selecting amateur U.S. college basketball players and other eligible players, including international players. This draft marked the first time that the first two players selected were from the same school ( Anthony Davis and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist were teammates at Kentucky). Assignment (NBA D-League)
The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. The league started with eight teams until NBA commissioner David Stern announced a plan to expand the NBA D-League to 15 teams and develop it into a true minor league farm system, with each NBA D-League team affiliated with one or more NBA teams in March 2005. Westley Sissel Unseld Jr. (born September 20, 1975) is an American professional basketball coach who is the head coach for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
