2012–13 Northern Premier League
The 2012–13 season is the 45th season of the Northern Premier League Premier Division, and the sixth season of the Northern Premier League Division One North and South. The League sponsors for 2012–13 are Evo-Stik. Due to Step Three leagues increasing their number of teams from 22 to 24 from the 2013–14 season onwards, only two teams will be relegated from the Premier Division, and only one team will be relegated from each of Division One North and South this season. Northern Premier League
The Northern Premier League is an English football league that was founded in 1968. It has four divisions: the Premier Division (which stands at level 7 of the English football league system), Division One East, Division One West and Division One Midlands (which stand at level 8). Geographically, the league covers all of Northern England and the northern/central areas of the Midlands, and western parts of East Anglia. Originally a single-division competition, a second division was added in 1987: Division One, and in 2007 a third was added when Division One split into two geographic sections - Division One North and Division One South. In 2018 Division One was re-aligned as East and West Divisions, then North West and South East in 2019. On 18 May 2021, the FA restructured the non-League football pyramid and created Division One East, West, and Midlands. Stafford () is a market town and the county town of Staffordshire, in the West Midlands region of England. It lies about north of Wolverhampton, south of Stoke-on-Trent and northwest of Birmingham. Ilkeston is a town in the Borough of Erewash, Derbyshire, England, on the River Erewash, from which the borough takes its name, with a population at the 2011 census of 38,640. Its major industries, coal mining, iron working and lace making/textiles, have now all but disappeared. Grantham () is a market and industrial town in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England, situated on the banks of the River Witham and bounded to the west by the A1 road. 2011–12 Football Conference
The 2011–12 Football Conference season was the eighth season in which the Football Conference consisted of three divisions and the thirty-third season overall. The Conference covers the top two levels of Non-League football in England. The Conference Premier is the fifth highest level of the overall pyramid, whilst the Conference North and Conference South exist at the sixth level. The Conference was won by Fleetwood Town who together with York City, the winner of the play-off of the Premier division, were promoted to Football League Two, while the bottom four were relegated to the North or South divisions.
