2012–13 Momentum One Day Cup
The 2012–13 Momentum One Day Cup was a domestic one-day cricket championship in South Africa. It was the 32nd time the championship was contested. The competition was played over 5 weeks, starting with the first match on 2 November 2012 and finishing with the final on 15 December 2012 at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. The trophy was shared by the Cape Cobras and Lions when the two attempts at playing the final were both abandoned due to rain. The first match saw the Cobras batting first, but was abandoned during the 17th over of their innings. The second match saw the Lions bat first and make 241/7 in their innings, but rain ended the match with the Cobras 69/2 after 11 overs, fewer than the 20 overs required for a Duckworth–Lewis calculation to be applied. Cricket South Africa
Cricket South Africa (CSA) is the governing body for both professional and amateur cricket in South Africa. In 1991, the separate South African Cricket Union and the South African Cricket Board merged to form the United Cricket Board of South Africa (UCB), ending enforced racial separation governance in South African cricket. Rory Keith Kleinveldt (born 15 March 1983) is a South African former cricketer. He made his international debut in a Twenty20 International against Bangladesh in Johannesburg on 5 November 2008. In January 2019, Kleinveldt announced his retirement from first-class cricket. Career During the 2008 County Championship Kleinveldt played for Hampshire. Alviro Petersen
Alviro Nathan Petersen (born 25 November 1980) is a former South African international cricketer who played domestic cricket in South Africa for the Highveld Lions and in England for Lancashire. A right-handed batsman, he has represented South Africa in Test, One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 cricket. He was the captain of the Highveld Lions in South African domestic cricket. Johan Cloete (born 21 July 1971) is a South African cricket umpire. He was a member of ICC International Panel of Umpires before being removed from the Panel in July 2016. He has stood in 60 One Day Internationals and 23 Twenty20 Internationals till date. Mohammad Yaseen Vallie, or otherwise known as Yaseen Vallie (born 30 July 1989) is a South African cricketer who plays for the Warriors. Career Vallie was selected to play for South Africa in the 2008 U-19 Cricket World Cup as an all-rounder. He took 5 wickets in the six matches he played in, as well as scoring 54 runs at a meager average of 13.50. Newlands Cricket Ground (known as Six Gun Grill Newlands for sponsorship reasons) in Cape Town is a South African cricket ground. It is the home of the Cape Cobras, who play in the Sunfoil Series, Momentum 1 Day Cup and RamSlam Pro20 competitions. It is also a venue for Test matches, ODIs and T20Is. Newlands is regarded as one of the most beautiful cricket grounds in the world, being overlooked by Table Mountain and Devil's Peak. Roelof Erasmus van der Merwe (born 31 December 1984) is a Dutch-South African professional cricketer who has played internationally for both South Africa and the Netherlands, one of the few players to represent more than one international team.
