2012–13 Florida State Seminoles Men's Basketball Team
The 2012–13 Florida State Seminoles men's basketball team represented Florida State University in the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season The Seminoles were led by eleventh year head coach Leonard Hamilton and played their home games at the Donald L. Tucker Center on the university's Tallahassee, Florida campus. They were members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Seminoles finished the season 18–16, 9–9 in ACC play, to finish in sixth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament to North Carolina. They were invited to the 2013 National Invitation Tournament where they lost in the first round to Louisiana Tech. Previous season The Seminoles finished the 2011–12 season 25–10, 12–4 in ACC play, and lost in the 3rd round of the NCAA tournament to Cincinnati. Leonard Hamilton
James Leonard Hamilton (born August 4, 1948) is an American basketball coach and the current men's basketball head coach at Florida State University. He is a former head coach at Oklahoma State University, the University of Miami, and for the National Basketball Association's Washington Wizards. In his 33 years as a collegiate head coach, his teams have qualified for 12 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournaments and 11 National Invitation Tournaments, highlighted by appearances in the NCAA Tournament's Elite Eight (2018) and Sweet 16 (2011, 2019, 2021) with Florida State, as well as a Sweet 16 appearance with Miami (2000). Šilutė (, previously ''Šilokarčiama'', german: link=no, Heydekrug), is a city in the south of the Klaipėda County, Lithuania. Michael Snaer (born June 21, 1990) is an American former professional basketball player who last played for Karpoš Sokoli in Macedonia. As a college player, he led Florida State University to their first ACC tournament championship in 2012, earning Most Valuable Player honors. High school career Snaer, a 6'5" shooting guard from Moreno Valley, California, attended Rancho Verde High School. Robert Gilchrist (born 14 October 1990) is a professional basketball player currently playing for Elan Coton of the Road to BAL. Gilchrist was born in London, England and played his college career in the United States. DeSoto is a city in Dallas County, Texas, in the United States. DeSoto is a suburb of Dallas and is part of the Best Southwest area, which includes DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Duncanville, and Lancaster. History The area was first settled in 1847, making it one of the oldest communities in North Texas.
