2012–13 CONCACAF Champions League Group Stage
The group stage of the 2012–13 CONCACAF Champions League was played from July 31 to October 25, 2012. A total of 24 teams competed in the group stage. Draw The draw for the group stage was held on June 5, 2012, beginning at 11:00 EDT ( UTC−4), at the CONCACAF headquarters in New York City. The 24 teams were drawn into eight groups of three, with each group containing one team from each of the three pots. The allocation of teams into pots was based on their national association and qualifying berth. Teams from the same association (excluding "wildcard" teams which replace a team from another association) could not be drawn with each other in the group stage, and each group was guaranteed to contain a team from either the United States or Mexico, meaning U.S. and Mexican teams could not play each other in the group stage. 2012–13 CONCACAF Champions League
The 2012–13 CONCACAF Champions League was the 5th edition of the CONCACAF Champions League under its current name, and overall the 48th edition of the premier football club competition organized by CONCACAF, the regional governing body of North America, Central America and the Caribbean. It remained a 24-team tournament, but the format changed for this edition. CCL play began on July 31, 2012 and finished on May 1, 2013. The winner qualified as the CONCACAF representative for the 2013 FIFA Club World Cup. Monterrey won their third consecutive title after defeating Santos Laguna in an all-Mexican final, and equaled Cruz Azul's feat of winning three consecutive CONCACAF club titles (1969–71), when the competition was known as the CONCACAF Champions' Cup. Reggie Lambe
Reginald Everard Vibart Thompson-Lambe (born 4 February 1991), known as Reggie Lambe, is a Bermudian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Isthmian League North Division side AFC Sudbury. Lambe is a Bermudian national team player, making his first appearance at age 16 against St Kitts and Nevis in December 2007, and holds the record for the most caps for Bermuda. Club career Lambe began his professional career with Ipswich Town, joining from Bermudian club Dandy Town Hornets, playing on the youth team and eventually joining the reserve squad, as well as making a first team appearance in a League Cup match against Shrewsbury Town. Lambe made his league debut in Ipswich Town's victory over Middlesbrough at Riverside Stadium on 7 August 2010, replacing Carlos Edwards in the 64th minute. Luis Silva (Mexican Footballer)
Luis Saúl Silva López (born 10 December 1988) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder or forward. Playing career Youth and college Silva was born in Oaxaca, Mexico, and moved to Los Angeles at a young age. Silva spent two years playing with local youth club Pateadores, helping them win the Premier Division in 2006, as well as spending two years with C.D. Chivas USA's U-19 team.
