The Boston University Terriers women's hockey team will represent Boston University in the 2012–13 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. 2011–12 Boston University Terriers Women's Ice Hockey Season
The Boston University Terriers women's hockey team represented Boston University in the 2011–12 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The Terriers were coached by Brian Durocher. The seniors on the Terriers squad were Kasey Boucher, Jenn Wakefield, Carly Warren and Tara Watchorn. Boston University won its second Hockey East Championship in three seasons. In addition, the Terriers qualified for their third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. At season's end, BU recorded a 23–14–1 record, marking the program's second straight 20-win season. The club triumphed in seven of its final eight games of the year, while earning a fifth-place ranking. Marie-Philip Poulin
Marie-Philip Poulin-Nadeau (born March 28, 1991) is a Canadian ice hockey forward, currently with the PWHPA and who serves as captain of the Canada women's national ice hockey team, Canadian national team. A three-time Olympic and three-time World champion with the Canadian national team, Poulin famously scored the game-winning goal in the gold medal games in three out of four of the Olympics in which she competed (2010 Olympic Winter Games, 2010, 2014 Winter Olympics, 2014 and 2022 Winter Olympics, 2022), for which she was dubbed Captain Clutch by her teammates and the media. Agganis Arena
Agganis Arena is a 7,200-seat multi-purpose arena in Boston, Massachusetts, United States, on the campus of Boston University, built on the location of the former Commonwealth Armory. It is home to the five-time national champion Boston University Terriers men's ice hockey team. It is named after Harry Agganis, an outstanding football and baseball athlete for BU and the Boston Red Sox, who died at the age of 26 from a massive pulmonary embolism. A life-size bronze statue of Agganis sculpted by Armand LaMontagne stands outside the arena at the corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Harry Agganis Way. The hockey rink is named Jack Parker Rink, after the legendary BU hockey player and coach.
