2012 VCU Rams Men's Soccer Team
The 2012 VCU Rams men's soccer team was the 33rd season of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia fielding a men's varsity college soccer program. The team played their inaugural season in the Atlantic 10 Conference of the NCAA Division I after playing the previous 17 seasons in the Colonial Athletic Association. After an eight-year absence, the Rams returned to the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament, securing an at-large bid, and being one of the 16 seeded teams, earning a fourteen seed and a bye to the second round. In their return to the NCAA Tournament, VCU lost through an overtime golden goal to unseeded Syracuse, losing 2–3. 2012 Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Soccer Season
The 2012 Atlantic 10 Conference men's soccer season was the 26th season for the Conference fielding men's NCAA Division I men's college soccer. Interconference play began on October 5, and continued through November 4. The season culminated with the 2012 Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Tournament, where the top schools in the conference competed for a guaranteed berth into the 2012 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. The defending regular season champions were the national finalists, Charlotte. The defending tournament winners were Xavier. This was the last men's soccer season for Richmond, which dropped the sport (along with men's track) after announcing it would add men's lacrosse in the near future. Saint Louis Billikens Men's Soccer
The Saint Louis Billikens men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of Saint Louis University. The Saint Louis Billikens compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I. Soccer is the main fall sport at SLU, which has not sponsored football since 1949. Noted for their dominance in men's collegiate soccer during the late 1950s through the mid-1970s, the Billikens have won 10 NCAA Men's Soccer Championships, the most of any men's college soccer program in Division 1. Richmond Kickers is an American professional soccer club based in Richmond, Virginia. The Kickers compete as a member of USL League One (USL-1). The club was established in 1993, and began play that same year as a United States Interregional Soccer League (now USL League Two) expansion team, which at the time, was the fourth tier of soccer in the United States. VCU Rams Men's Soccer
The VCU Rams men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of Virginia Commonwealth University, an NCAA Division I member school located in the state's capital of Richmond. The team is a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference. Since their foundation, the team has won three conference championships, all of which came in the Colonial Athletic Association, and four regular season titles. The Rams have qualified for seven NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championships, most recently coming in 2012. Juan Arbelaez (born October 31, 1990) is a retired Colombian footballer. Career High school He was varsity since his freshman year at West Hall High School. In 2009, he was captain and lead his team into state finals which they lost 3-0. College Arbelaez played for Georgia Perimeter College before transferring to Virginia Commonwealth University his junior year. While playing at GPC he registered eight goals and eleven assists in his first season. In his first season with the Rams, Arbelaez 17 appearances, all as substitutes. Joseph Haboush (born August 28, 1990) is an American former soccer player who played as a midfielder. He is of Lebanese descent. Career Early career Haboush started his youth playing career with the Richmond Strikers Under-16 Academy and the Elite Under-18 Academy before playing Division 1 college soccer with the VCU Rams of the Virginia Commonwealth University from 2008 to 2012.
