2012 Under-19 Cricket World Cup
The 2012 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup was a one-day cricket competition for sixteen international U-19 cricketing teams which was held in August 2012. This was the ninth time that the tournament was held since its inception back in 1988. The tournament was held in Australia for the second time after previously hosting it in 1988 with the tournament being held across three cities (Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Townsville). Six teams qualified from the qualifying event as they joined the full members that automatically qualified through to the World Cup. The teams were separated into four groups of four with the top two teams qualifying through to the Super League while the bottom two will compete in the Plate Championship. After finishing second in their group, India beat Australia in the final by six wickets to win their third title after previously winning in 2000 and 2008. The team has won five Under-19 Cricket World Cup, Under-19 World Cups and has the best win percentage in ODIs (77%) among all Under-19 national teams. 2000 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup
The 2000 ICC Under-19 World Cup was an international limited-overs cricket tournament played in Sri Lanka from 11 to 28 January 2000. It was the third edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup and the first to be held in Sri Lanka. The 2000 World Cup was contested by sixteen teams, including three making their tournament debuts. After an initial group stage, the top eight teams played off in a super league to decide the tournament champions, with the non-qualifiers playing a separate "plate" competition. Portions of the group stage were heavily impacted by rain, especially in Group C, where only two matches could be played to completion. In the final, played at Colombo's Sinhalese Sports Club, India defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets. Both teams had made the final for the first time. Namibia National Under-19 Cricket Team
The Namibia national under-19 cricket team represents Namibia in under-19 international cricket. Namibia has won the ICC Africa Under-19 Championships a record number of times. Namibia has qualified for the Under-19 World Cup on eight occasions, more than any other associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Afghanistan National Under-19 Cricket Team
The Afghanistan national under-19 cricket team (Pashto: د افغانستان ۱۹ کلنو لوبډله) represents the country of Afghanistan in under-19 international cricket. Afghanistan has qualified for the Under-19 Cricket World Cup on seven occasions. The team's first tournament was the 2010 World Cup in New Zealand, which they reached by finishing runner-up to Ireland in the 2009 World Cup Qualifier.
