2012 PBA All-Star Weekend
The 2012 PBA All-Star Weekend was the annual all-star weekend of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA)'s 2011–12 PBA season. The events were held from May 10 to 13, 2012 at the Ilocos Norte Centennial Arena, Laoag, Ilocos Norte. Highlighting the weekend was the return of the Rookies-Sophomores-Juniors (RSJ) vs. Veterans format of the All-Star game, after being dropped following the 2001 event. Mark Macapagal and Jonas Villanueva achieved three-peats as they were again victorious in the Three-point Shootout and Obstacle Challenge, respectively. The players from Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters were pulled out from their respective events, days before the start of the weekend. Lewis Alfred Vasquez Tenorio (born July 9, 1984) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He is also an assistant coach for the Letran Knights of the Philippines' NCAA. He was nicknamed Showtime while he was on Alaska due to his speed, scoring and skills, and The Tinyente due to the initials of his name (L.T.). The Meralco Bolts is a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association. The team began in 2010 after the Manila Electric Company (MERALCO) acquired the PBA franchise of the Sta. Chris Ross (basketball)
Christopher Michael Ross (born March 9, 1985) is a Filipino-American professional basketball player for the San Miguel Beermen of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Ross played high school basketball at John Jay High School in San Antonio, Texas, where as a junior, he sank a 50-foot half-court buzzer-beater to give Jay the 2002 Class 5A state basketball championship. After high school he played college basketball at McLennan Community College and Marshall University. Ross can play both guard positions and is currently the starting point guard for the Beermen. In his tenure with the Beermen, he is known for his defensive skills, thus recognized as one of the best defenders in the league. Powerade Tigers
The Powerade Tigers were a professional basketball team that played in the Philippine Basketball Association from 2002 to 2012. The franchise was owned by Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, Inc. (CCBPI) when the company acquired Cosmos Bottling Corporation from RFM Corporation. From 2002 to 2010, the team played as the Coca-Cola Tigers. Joseph Evans "JVee" D. Casio (born September 1, 1986) is a Filipino basketball player for the Blackwater Bossing of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was drafted first overall by the Powerade Tigers in 2011 PBA draft. Early life and high school career Casio started playing basketball at the age of seven. He started by watching his brother play at their village and started his formal training during his stay at San Beda College, where was part of the San Beda Red Cubs squad in the NCAA Juniors Division. Joselito Duncil (born January 13, 1983) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Navotas Uni-Pak Sardines of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). He was drafted 15th overall by Red Bull in 2007. Roberts Raymond T. Labagala (born July 5, 1984) is a Filipino former professional basketball player. He last played for the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Standing at 5 feet 7 inches, Labagala plays at the point guard position. He played collegiate basketball at the University of the East where he was a benchwarmer who played the fewest minutes on the court. The San Miguel Beermen are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Alexander Cabagnot Jr. (born December 8, 1982) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Terrafirma Dyip of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He plays the point guard position.
