The 2012 Open Prévadiès Saint–Brieuc was a professional tennis tournament played on clay courts. It was the ninth edition of the tournament which was part of the 2012 ATP Challenger Tour. Clay Court
A clay court is one of the types of tennis court on which the sport of tennis, originally known as "lawn tennis", is played. Clay courts are made of crushed stone, brick, shale, or other unbound mineral aggregate depending on the tournament. The French Open uses clay courts, the only Grand Slam tournament to do so. Clay courts are more common in Continental Europe and Latin America than in North America, Asia-Pacific or Britain. Two main types exist: red clay, the more common variety, and green clay, also known as "rubico", which is a harder surface. Although less expensive to construct than other types of tennis courts, the maintenance costs of clay are high as the surface must be rolled to preserve flatness. Kenny de Schepper (born 29 May 1987) is a French professional tennis player. Career De Schepper was born in Bordeaux, France. His father Éric, originally from Belgium, was a former professional squash player. De Schepper, who is two meters tall, joined the National tennis centre in Poitiers when he was 13, however after a while he stopped playing tennis for two years due to growth injuries. José Checa Calvo
José "Pepe" Checa Calvo (born 2 April 1985) is a Spanish tennis coach and former professional player. Career Born in the town of Las Pedroñeras, Checa is a product of the Cuenca Tennis Club, where he trained with his elder sisters. He began competing professionally in 2003. Checa won 21 ITF singles titles during his career. On the ATP Challenger Tour, Checa was a Montauban semi-finalist in 2006 and beat world number 78 Bjorn Phau at the Tampere Open in 2009. Josselin Ouanna (born 14 April 1986) is a retired French tennis player. Biography Born in Tours and Guadeloupean origin, he was quickly spotted and integrates INSEP with her friends of "blackteam" Gaël Monfils (of Caribbean origin) and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (of Congolese origin). James Duckworth (born 21 January 1992) is an Australian professional tennis player.
