2012 New York Jets Season
The 2012 New York Jets season was the franchise's 43rd season in the National Football League, the 53rd overall and the fourth under head coach Rex Ryan. The Jets failed to improve their 8–8 record from 2011 and were eliminated from postseason contention for the second straight season. 2012 was overall one of the most turbulent seasons in franchise history. The team was distracted by increased media presence during the off-season due to a quarterback controversy between incumbent starter Mark Sanchez and trade acquisition Tim Tebow. In addition, numerous blunders on and off the field as well as injuries often led to sloppy play, and the team was compared to a "circus", with the infamous "Butt fumble" play on Thanksgiving considered the low-point of the season. Rex Ryan
Rex Ashley Ryan (born December 13, 1962) is an American former football coach and analyst. Ryan was formerly the head coach of the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL), and also held various coaching positions with eight other NFL and college teams. He and his fraternal twin brother Rob Ryan are sons of former head coach Buddy Ryan. From a young age, Ryan aspired to follow in his father's footsteps and become a professional football coach. After spending the majority of his youth in Canada, he returned to the United States as a teenager where he attended college at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Upon graduating, Ryan spent the next 22 years serving as an assistant coach on different teams at both the college and professional level. Bill Callahan (American Football)
William E. Callahan (born July 31, 1956) is an American football coach who is the offensive line coach for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He was the head coach of the Oakland Raiders for the 2002 and 2003 seasons and led them to Super Bowl XXXVII. He was also the head coach for the Nebraska Cornhuskers from 2004 to 2007 and the offensive line coach and interim head coach for the Washington Redskins from 2015 to 2019. Callahan is considered to be one of the best offensive line coaches in the NFL. Dennis Landolt
Dennis Patrick Landolt (born October 15, 1986) is a former American football offensive tackle. He was signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2010. He played college football at the Pennsylvania State University. Landolt has also been a member of the New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers, and New York Jets. Early years Landolt graduated from Holy Cross High School in Delran Township, New Jersey in 2004. He was the first freshman to start at Holy Cross in more than 10 years and made 45 consecutive starts in his career. Dedrick Epps (born June 19, 1988) is a former American football tight end. He was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the seventh round, 253rd overall in the 2010 NFL Draft. He played college football for the University of Miami. He was also a member of the Miami Dolphins, Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears, and New York Jets.
