2012 Men's EuroHockey Junior Championship
The 2012 Men's EuroHockey Junior Championship was the 16th edition of the men's EuroHockey Junior Championship, the biennial international men's under-21 field hockey championship of Europe organised by the European Hockey Federation. It was held alongside the women's tournament in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands from 20 August to 1 September 2012. This tournament served as the European qualifier for the 2013 FIH Junior World Cup, with the top six teams qualifying. Belgium won the tournament for the first time by defeating the Netherlands 4–3 in penalties after the final finished as a 2–2 draw. Germany won the bronze model by defeating France 8–0. 's-Hertogenbosch
s-Hertogenbosch (), colloquially known as Den Bosch (), is a city and municipality in the Netherlands with a population of 157,486. The 2010 Men's EuroHockey Junior Championship was the 15th edition of the men's EuroHockey Junior Championship, the biennial international men's under-21 field hockey championship of Europe organised by the European Hockey Federation. It was held in Siemianowice Śląskie, Poland from 25 to 31 July 2010. The Netherlands won the tournament for the seventh time after defeating the Belgium 4–1 in the final. Hugo Genestet
Hugo Valentin Paul Genestet (born 2 March 1992) is a French field hockey player who plays as a midfielder for Belgian club Waterloo Ducks and the French national team. Club career Genestet played for Saint Germain in France before he joined Leuven in Belgium in 2014. He played there until 2016 when he returned to France. In 2018 he joined Daring in the Belgian Hockey League. After one season he left Daring for the Waterloo Ducks. International career Under–21 Genestet was a member of the French U–21 side from 2010 through to 2013. In 2013, he was a member of the team at the FIH Junior World Cup in New Delhi. At the tournament, the team made history by securing France's first medal at the event, taking home silver. Simon Humphrey Gaspard Martin-Brisac (born 20 November 1992) is a field hockey player from France. Career Under–21 Simon Martin-Brisac debuted for the France U–21 team in 2012 at the EuroHockey Junior Championship in 's-Hertogenbosch. Thierry Brinkman (born 19 March 1995) is a Dutch field hockey player who plays as a forward or midfielder for Bloemendaal and the Dutch national team. He is the son of former Dutch international Jacques Brinkman and the brother of Tim Brinkman, a Dutch football player. Club career Thierry started playing hockey at his local club SCHC, whom he left in 2010, to play in the youth ranks of SV Kampong.
