2012 Japan Golf Tour
The 2012 Japan Golf Tour season was played from 12 April to 2 December. The season consisted of 25 official money events in Japan as well as the four majors and the four World Golf Championships. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 2012 season. Unofficial events The following events were sanctioned by the Japan Golf Tour, but did not carry official money, nor were wins official. Money list The money list was based on prize money won during the season, calculated in Japanese yen. Jay Choi (born September 30, 1983) is an American professional golfer. Choi was born in Gunsan, South Korea. He graduated from Gahr High School in Cerritos, California and played college golf at the University of New Mexico. Choi played the mini-tours in the U.S. for several years. The is a professional golf tournament on the Japan Golf Tour. It was first played in 1973 at the Takasaka Country Club (Yoneyama Course). The tournament moved to the Higashi-Matsuyama Golf Club in 1979 and to the Kawana Hotel's Fuji course in 1981. The KBC Augusta is a professional golf tournament that is held in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. The title sponsor is the Kyushu Asahi Broadcasting and it is held in August.
