2012 European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 30th European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held from 23 to 27 May 2012 at Montpellier. The senior and junior events are different. During the senior's qualification the top eight teams progress to the team final, and the top eight gymnasts (two per nation maximum) on each apparatus qualify for the individual finals. After the qualification for the juniors the team medals and places are awarded. Krisztián Berki
Krisztián Berki (; born 18 March 1985 in Budapest) is a Hungarian artistic gymnast. He is a pommel horse specialist. In 2016 a pommel horse element of difficulty level 'E' was named after him. Sports career He is the 2012 Olympic Champion, the 2010, 2011, and 2014 World Champion, and the 2007 and 2009 World silver medalist. He is also the 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2012 European Champion on that event. He won the Universiade 2009 in Belgrade. In 2010 and 2011 he was elected Hungarian Sportsman of the year for his achievements. Frank Baines (born 16 July 1995, in Liverpool) is a Scottish and British retired artistic gymnast. Baines represented Scotland at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Vlasios Maras ( el, Βλάσης Μάρας, born 31 March 1983 in Athens) is a Greek gymnast. In the 2004 Summer Olympics, he was a favorite in the horizontal bar competition but failed to qualify for the final after finishing 13th in the qualification round. Emin Nadirovich Garibov (russian: Эмин Надирович Гарибов; az, Emin Nadir oğlu Qəribov; born 8 September 1990 in Moscow) is a retired Russian artistic gymnast of Azerbaijani descent. Oleg Verniaiev
Oleg Yuriyovych Verniaiev ( uk, Олег Юрійович Верняєв; born 29 September 1993) is a Ukrainian artistic gymnast. He is the 2016 Olympic parallel bars champion and individual all-around silver medalist. Verniaiev is also the 2014 World parallel bars champion, the 2015 European individual all-around champion and the 2017 European individual all-around champion. Verniaiev tested positive for the banned substance meldonium in an out-of-competition test in August 2020. He received a four-year ban, starting in November 2020. Marcel Van Minh Phuc Long Nguyen (born 8 September 1987) is a German artistic gymnast and three-time Olympian, having represented Germany at the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Olympic Games.
